Hi,
Is anyone intersted to switch his/her Tulane interview from Thursday morning with Friday afternoon?

Another PSA on behalf of all/most of us: please post your interview switch requests in the switch thread! Thanks.

Sorry Guys I know this is not the place for interview switch, but by any chance any one interested to switch Columbia from 11/19 with 11/20?
Or any one interested to switch UPMC from 11/21 with 11/20? Thanks

You know that 11/20 is very soon right? It is not super fair to the rest of us to have you holding onto both interviews, as someone else could have been invited. Now, people might not be able to get there in time if they are invited after you are inevitably forced to choose.

Please don't judge, I got a last minute invitation yesterday

If you get a last-minute invitation, you should probably assume that you're ultimately going to have to choose between the programs. It's not unreasonable to call the other program and see if there is any availability on another date, but the chances of finding another applicant willing/able to switch with only a few days notice is slim (especially with multiple other requests for the same switches on the interview switch thread). By holding on to both for even 24 hours at this point, you're making it exponentially harder for both the program you're dropping and the other applicants who may be invited after you!

Just my $0.02. This process isn't easy, and many of us have been forced to make difficult decisions, but please be courteous to others! :)

Not to mention your fellowship chances at the program you declined just went out the window (if that was a thought)

Sorry about posting another one of these but I'm next on the waitlist at Utah.

If you are still debating whether to cancel it or not, please, please, please decide and cancel it before this weekend if you don't plan on going so the coordinator can see it and call me before she leaves on Friday night.

I will be eternally grateful.

I was told the exact same thing a week or so ago. That I was 'next on the list'. lol. I know this thread isn't meant for these posts, but it illustrates a commonly demonstrated issue -that you cannot always trust 'promises' from programs.

I was also told a similar thing... not literally 'next in line' but enough to believe that as soon as anyone dropped that I'd be the first person they would call. Utah has always been incredibly nonsensical in who they interview and who they don't. Sorry we are all in the same boat. Good luck elsewhere.

Anyone interviewing at SUNY upstate on 12/4 wanting to switch to 12/5?

If anyone is considering cancelling their Oklahoma interview for 12/14 could you do so sooner rather than later please? Thanks!
