2015 AADSAS is Open!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
People say that SDN is not representative of the general applicant pool, but I feel like my strongest competition are other applicants from my school. @_@ I have yet to met an applicant from my school who actually has less E.C than me and has anything lower than 3.6+ and 20+... I hope dental schools mean it when they say they don't care what undergrad I went to.

One of my coursework on my transcript has a longer title than the allowed character for course work title... Any tips and pointers?

Yeah, what sjv said. Just write as much as you can until it cuts off. They'll know which class you're talking about. If AADSAS would rather have it abbreviated, they'll change it! 🙂

Anyone applied to VCU? Why do they want my DAT mailed to them or fax? Isn't my DAT already on AADSAS?

I'm trying to enter my coursework for classes that were pass/fail and it won't let me choose the option of None for my grade for Pass/Fail courses. Is there a browser that people have had success with filling out the coursework section with or any tips to make this work? Thanks!

There's a "P - Pass" option from the dropdown menu of grades.

What are the schools that have more "requirement" than what is listed?

For example
Loma Linda - Religious
ASDOH - Community Service
Howard/Meharry - URM

Does Creighton place heavy heavy emphasis on religion like Loma Linda? I know they are Jesuits, but it doesn't seem like they require a spiritual letter of recommendation. Not sure if they have required mass either. Seems like a good school (low tuition).

There isn't that option on my computer. I have the options of A-F and then W. There isn't a P option on my application.
Nevermind. I just couldn't get my screen to scroll down. I didn't know there were more options. Thanks for the help.

I just calculated my sGPA again and it is actually 3.45 now >_>
But here's the real kicker: my BCP GPA is 3.6 ( I took 4 calculus courses and got B in all of them. I hope my high QR can give me some leverage here... even though basic math =/= calculus)
When looking at the average sGPA from the ADEA book, is it better to compare my sGPA to the sGPA reported or pretend that they are actually reporting their BCP? Because I looked up the BCP gpa for some specific schools and it is almost exactly the same as their science GPA. It is hard to evaluate which schools are the reach schools on my list because of my sgpa/bcp disparity : x . Two reach schools if BCP and 6 reach schools if sGPA. I would like at least 10 non-reach schools on my list...

I'd just like to say that Minnesota's supplemental application is excessive.
For anyone doing essays for the supplemental application such as Minnesota, are we expected to format it first person like our personal statement?

Does anyone know how to specify courses taken in high school as dual credit? I took 23 hours of college credit while still in high school, and have had my transcripts sent to AADSAS. But I'm worried they won't realize I was still in high school and will think it just took me a long time to get serious about college. Does anyone know how to name the classes as dual credit?
