I got an invite via email and then a hour later a phone call from the director with a personal invite. It was awesome to get the personal touch but I wondered why they did both.

Depends on the site, but it might be a clever way around the regulations against directly indicating high levels of interest? Kudos?

I also was placed on the 'waitlist' and told that they are only interviewing 24 people!? I wonder if the waitlist actually exists or if they don't believe in rejection emails? Was anyone else placed on this 'waitlist'?

It appears that they sent rejection emails last year. My question is, are we supposed to rank them even if we don't get an interview?

I've been waiting until after the 15th regardless of their deadline. I figure people are crazy busy.

Agreed! The hoping for a second-round e-mails is driving me crazy. Just tell me if I did not get in.

I think starting this year sites are required (not strongly recommended, actually required) to notify applicants one way or the other about their interview status.

I know that some invites will trickle in later (as late as 1/5 for one of my sites), buuuut we're IN THE LAST WEEK, EVERYONE! One way or another, this nightmare will end (and may or may not be replaced by different nightmares). Hang in there!

Has anyone received any info from the adult/adolescent track at Menninger Clinic? Looks like invites for other tracks have gone out there but I haven't seen anything about this one.

To those who applied to South Shore Mental Health child track, be aware that the secondary placement in In Home Therapy is typically a master's level position and the "co-therapist" is a bachelor level paraprofessional (generally speaking). You may want to ask if you are being paired in this manner as that is how the service is intended to be provided. If I were applying to predoctoral internship then I would want doctoral level training Just want to make people aware.

I've basically accepted that I'm expecting a rejection from them, AND McLean has historically invited in two waves, and it's not clear that a second wave has gone out yet.

Since the program is run by humans, there's a chance that human things have come up and they're behind on both second invite wave and rejections. It's also possible that they're just behind on rejections. Sigh.

Nope, still waiting to hear from them. Haven't heard from (or seen anything posted about) 10 other sites, as well. Murphy's Law posits they will all notify on the 15th while I'm in the car driving to my Arkansas State Hopsital interview (Apologies for apparently jinxing everyone waiting for the same sites, lol)

Would anyone interviewing at Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA (Bedford VA) on 1/17 be willing to switch interview dates? I ranked 1/5 highest, but am trying to streamline my east coast interviews for the sake of travel expenses. They confirmed on the phone an hour ago that the interview date confirmation emails will go out this week, and that most people were given their first choice of open house dates. So if anyone ranked 1/17 highest and wouldn't mind trading for 1/5, I'd be so appreciative!
