HEY EVERYONE!

So I know that Ms. Sneed has been sending out emails about the Baylor College of Dentistry Post-Baccalaureate Program, and many of us are going to apply! This is just a thread for all of us to be informed and stay within the loop! Best of luck to everyone, and let's get this dental degree!
 
Hey applied too this past September. This is my second year applying. Does anyone know when do they start sending out interview invites?
 
What are the stats of those applying? My GPA is ~2.89 and I am a junior. I'm pretty much going to need the post bacc.

I think it varies. I have a 3.2 GPA and I graduated in 2013. Did you apply? I definitely need it too.
 
No but I will next year. I just wanted to know about the app process so when I do apply I'll be ready. Do they require 3 totally different LORs outside of the ones for dental school?

I DO!! I am so excited as well. From what I saw on last years' threads, they start sending invites for interviews around now. I CAN'T WAIT! 😀
 
On what basis do they accept students? I'm wondering about the GPA. I just applied also, but am doubting my GPA is high enough. [emoji53]

I doubt GPA expectations for the PBP are as high as for dental admissions, after all the whole purpose of a post-baccalaureate program is to improve academically. The minimum GPA requirement is 2.5 anyway.

But just letting you guys know, I talked to Ms. Sneed about the process. And last I heard, she said that there's 60 applicants so far with ~250 unfinished applications opened on the portal. Eek. Considering how there's not much activity on this thread, I thought that the numbers would be lower haha. But good luck to all of us!

Tomorrow is the deadline! Invites should be going out next week based on last years' threads.... I am so nervous!

Hey guys! I just found this thread! I also applied for the program, and I'm excited to hopefully be hearing back soon. I'm interested to hear other people's stats, mine are: 3.4GPA, 20AA DAT. I was also wondering if anyone knew about whether we should keep Ms. Sneed updated about our current goings-on in life like you do with dental school apps...for instance, I just got a new job at a dental clinic, so should I let her know about that or nah?
 
Just talked to Ms. Sneed about when will they start handing out interview invites and she said the committee will be meeting soon. She said that everyone will know for sure by March 25th if they are in or not. So in about a month, they should have final decisions about the applicants. Which means interview invites should be going out soon!!!

Did she say when they will be conducting interviews? I tried asking her a few weeks ago but she said they were still unsure of when, Good luck to everyone ! 🙂

No she didn't say anything about it. She wasn't sure of an exact date.

Same here, got a call from a 214 area code number yesterday and my heart almost jumped out of my chest. I'm in Houston and never get calls from the Dallas area. It turned out to be just a sales call from a car warranty company... dang it![/QUOTE]
 
My heart started racing as soon as I read that someone got a call from 214 area code! To be honest I'm losing my mind waiting! I really hope we all get calls soon! Good luck everyone!

Hopefully, I got the same email. I thought that maybe there was an error on my application or something like that.

I think you need to call to schedule an interview date. That is awesome. I haven't gotten an email yet but happy for you. Let us know when you call how it went!
 
Interview, March 17! The email is to schedule an interview, I just confirmed! In person interviews are being scheduled now. 😀
