are there second rounds of invitations for the programs listed so far or is that it?
^ for UTSW (my home school) I have 12/15 and not 12/16 (a minor precision)
Now, if you will quick tally so that we know where we are in the process? How many invites do you have so far? Rads:6 (including home school) , prelim-IM: 2 (home school + 1 de facto with radiology program, so no real invite). Please do share.

Dude really? like 15 rad programs? I wish I was in a position to do that.0 invites so far out of 15 rads programs, 7 prelim med programs, and 6 TY programs.
I know from the program's director that the Dean's letter is very important at UTSW, and while scores get in you the door, the clinical performance (no necessarily grades, but more comments etc...) are look at closely. I know I have an invite because it is my home school (it would have been unlikely otherwise). So all is not lost.Man, UTSW was one of the schools I was really interested in, so far it has been radio silence from them. That is incredibly disappointing
6 invites of 28 rads programs (1 is home), 4 prelim med invites of 30 programs (2 are coupled with rads and 1 is home), and 1 TY invite of 19 programs.
Hey clutch who is the TY program?
Perhaps an excel spreadsheet? This way it is there to modify and improve...
For now US MD - I applied on 9/14 to 47 Rads programs, 10 TYs and 42 IM prelims
Received 6 DR invites out of 14 schools sending invites (Texas A&M and UT Houston didn't invite me, so big bummer). 2 IM-prelims interviews schedule but no real invites.

USMD, applied 9/15
Rads: 3/30 (so far none of the others have sent out invites per this forum)
IM: 4/25 (one was home institution)
TY: 1/29
And yeah, I wouldn't start freaking out until mid October. Many top tier/north east/west coast programs send out their first round of invites pretty late in the game. 🙂
I don't think it will be an issue. If you look at the program director's survey on page 141, it shows only 11% of radiology program invites are sent out before 10/1. I think as long as the 27 were reasonably selected, you should be fine.Man that is frustrating; I totally get it from their perspective (why wouldn't you wait until you had all information available), but I'm reconsidering my decision to only send out 27~ apps.

Also as a note of encouragement, I have just received an invite to Mayo Clinic Arizona. The first wave was on 9/21 as per this forum. So indeed, not receiving during the first wave doesn't preclude receiving later. So good luck every one.
Just wondering if any IMG got an interview so far ?! Or is it still too early.

Got a prelim IV, but not rads as of yet. No worries, a long season ahead. Hope are high!Just wondering if any IMG got an interview so far ?! Or is it still too early.
I am an IMG, no interview for me or my friends. We should start freaking out after mid-October.Just wondering if any IMG got an interview so far ?! Or is it still too early.
I received a strange invitation to interview for a research track / Diagnostic Rad program at UT San Antonio to which I didn't apply. It says that after 6 years you basically get a PhD in radiological science and are board eligible in Diagnostic Rad. It also mentions that the position is funded via the Hofman pathway. Anyone knows anything about that????
Really weird ?! So you didn't apply but got an invitation ??!
I guess it would be more useful to say how many invites you have out of the programs you applied to that has offered invites. Or even out the total number applied to. I think that would help form a frame of reference. Also, specifying USMD, USDO, or IMG would be helpful to people as well.
Sent from my iPhone using SDN mobile
I think this is the right idea. I would say mine is .08 right now, invites/total applied. Also, I applied the whole spectrum, so that needs to be factored in if one is heavy in the programs that haven't started sending out invites. I am a USMD. I hope this helps ease some anxiety on the SDN interwebz, a tall order. DrMeows can we be friends? My vote for best avatar of SDN.

So you guys are getting invites on the WE as well? I didn't think this would happen.
Yes I was hoping for the WE to be less nerve wracking...I was pretty surprised by it, didn't know that was a thing. Guess that means I need to guard my phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week now![]()

Inthepocket, my comment really was directed to DrMeows. I am assuming (s)he is not the only one who got an invite today.
