Fellow IMG here, with slightly lower scores. It's been radio silence, besides two rejections.
I didn't know rejections were going out already. Sorry to hear that ☹️ Mind if I ask where?

Yea it only showed the date for oct 20 and nothing else...I'm just as confused I think it'd be best just to email the program coordinator and let them know since they're not taking phone calls

Interesting tidbit. IMG here that matched last year. I applied to every single TY/prelim IM, prelim surgery (minus NY)
Received these interview:
TY - 2
IM - 16
Surgery - 3
I found it very interesting that I only received 3 prelim surgery interviews.
Thank you for sharing. I am a U.S.-IMG who only applied to 40 total TY, prelim-med and prelim-surgery positions. If you don't mind me asking, how were your board scores? I was told by another radiology resident that with high scores (1 S.D. above mean for both step 1/2) you should be fine applying to ~30. Thoughts?
Anyone know if MSPEs are being made available to programs before the 10/1 date? The reason I ask is ERAS says that it is "made available" to programs, and I have gotten a couple invites from schools that had earlier dates listed on here after mine was uploaded earlier this week.
Anyone else get a UPMC rejection tonight? I'm pretty confused about getting a rejection this early. I feel like I'm a pretty good candidate. Just trying to figure out what was lacking in my app.
I just got rejected by UPMC too. My first and only rejection so far. I'm ~250 step 1, ~260 step 2, so not sure what they are going off of. Maybe there really are more applicants and DR will be more competitive this year?

I got a UPMC rejection too (a little surprised based on my stats as well). However I've already gotten several invites, one from my top program so not going to let the rejection bother me too much (though it still stings a little). Good luck to everyone!

Is there any expectation that DR might be more competitive this year?

I also think there is some randomness to the whole process. There were 3 people from my med school that ended up at top 10 places last year, and all of them had rejections from both other top ten places and from solid academic programs that aren't considered as competitive as well.
Do most of these programs send multiple rounds of invites? A few of my top programs have sent out invites according to this list, but I haven't heard anything from them.
Only 2, Same amount 40 in northeast. I guess they put prelims on the back burnerI have only received 1 prelim IM program invite so far, despite receiving a decent number of rads invites - is this normal for everyone at this point? I applied to 40+ programs mostly in the northeast.

I would think probably to decline it (respectfully) so they can offer the spot to someone else asap. This may be a dumb question, but if you get an interview from a program you are no longer interested in, how should you respond?
Or is it okay to just kind of let it slide...and not respond...![]()
