Mine also says modified 8/15 at 5:45 pm! I'm really hoping this is a good sign!
Seems like almost everyone is getting that status change.. I don't think we should assume II... Prob just means we have been reviewed

Weird. It also shows two spots for LORs. Everything is doubled on my portal actually...each optional misc. item slot is listed twice? e.g. I have two lines for optional misc. item 01, two for misc. item 02, etc.I had to submit an IA letter. Mine only had one spot under documents received. I would call them first thing in the morning, it seems like an error on their part.
Well most schools won't let you submit if you're over characters/words. So very seriously lolHow seriously is everyone taking the character limit? Most schools seem to have a 250 word limit which puts most secondary essays around 1300 characters.
And on top of that essay #4 feels like it's supposed to be very short.
I was referring to under the limit.Well most schools won't let you submit if you're over characters/words. So very seriously lol

Right but essay 4 asks what you plan to do until matriculation. My answer is "continue working full time and shadowing". I can expand that to maybe 4 sentences but I can't see it getting anywhere near 2000 characters.Well if I understand correctly, you're asking if you want to have a smaller essay? Just write an essay that is clear, expressive, and concise. If you need to maximize the words for it, then so be it. Otherwise, you can always be shorting it still gets the message across. Just don't write a 100 word essay for a 200 word limit.

not exactly sure what kind of answer you're looking for here. if that's all you have to say, then that's all you have to say. personally, i would expand on both those things as much as i could. i could easily write 2000 characters on my full-time research alone, but that's just me. maybe expand on what's cool about your job, or your shadowing; how it applies to your future medical career etc etc.Right but essay 4 asks what you plan to do until matriculation. The thing is I've covered what makes my job cool and what I've learned from shadowing in my PS and I don't want to be redundant. I'll just call it good with what I have. but if its just 4 sentences, i'm sure its fine. never add characters just to add characters. for some people 250 words is more than enough; others it wouldn't come close. its all about succinct, meaningful answers.
Whoa just saw this for some reason. I like you man! Fingers crossed for us both this cycle. You know it! Yellow top missing! 😉 Cool to know that we still have a social life haha!
Anyone who's application modified date changed get any news??

complete on July 11thComplete?
Congratulations!!complete on July 11th
do you guys think its okay to use "Temple" instead of "Lewis Katz School of Medicine" in the 1st secondary essay? trying to save room for the character limit
That's what I did, I think they understand its lengthy and repetitive

I would stray away from that because I am sure adcom may not know the acronyms for all the programs on campus.Do you think I could do the same when talking about their community service programs? (I.e. Using HERO instead of Helping to Energize and Rebuild Ourselves)
Congrats!! May I ask what your stats are and if you are OOS/IS?II today at 1pm!
I'm in state. LizzyM ~75.Congrats!! May I ask what your stats are and if you are OOS/IS?
As someone who went to Temple and am hoping to move to Cali, I feel obliged to help! Although I'm not a medical school student, I did do research at the Urban Bioethics Center which is located in the medical school. First off, the building is BEAUTIFUL. Pretty new. Bad part is the area it's located in; it's right in the middle of North Philadelphia, and not the prettiest campus. BUT, the area it's in is also it's greatest strength, since Temple really emphasizes giving back to the community. Plus, it's a great classroom if you're interested in Urban Bioethics. If you want, I can get you into contact with the program director who I worked with. Philadelphia is an amazing city, and Temple is a great university. You'll have an amazing time here. Can a current medical school student talk about some of Temple's unique or special programs? What excites you about the school, and likewise what downsides do you see with this school? I am OOS applicant from California and would love to get a feel for student life and opportunities at Temple. Thanks!
yeah idk, i had issues when I was creating my account with this portal too. I tried calling admissions office, and they are closed. So looks like I gotta wait it out till tomorrow!Seems like I can still login just fine
+1I'm able to login without issue.
Status recently updated to 'Completed'...is this the end of the road?
I doubt it, completed certainly doesn't sound like a rejection 🙂 What did your status say before it said 'completed'?
Top right corner of the page! "Apply online" button.Where are you guys seeing your status updates on the portal?
