2016-2017 UCLA PRIME Application Thread

Yep, I'm also rejected from PRIME and being considered for the regular MD program. Does anyone know the timeline for this? Can we expect to hear late march? thank you!
No one knows the timeline. Only way to find out is for a brave soul to contact Dr. Thakur to aks her. Care to be brave? 😛

I emailed yesterday. She can't tell us how many seats here are or what time table to expect.

As PRIME candidates do we even have any REAL chance at Geffen?
i've been wondering the same...idk :/
No, I do not have updates in my PRIME or regular UCLA application status login. They are very unhelpful for us UCLA PRIME folks since they don't update it.Same here. Does your status portal reflect information under the interview and the transcript sections? It concerns me because mine does not and people in the DGSOM thread have been finding out decision reslts via the portal.
I also emailed on Wednesday. Got the same answer. She's probably been copying and pasting. lol.I emailed yesterday. She can't tell us how many seats here are or what time table to expect.

Probably not. Why would they want someone who was rejected from their lower stat program? I don't think I've heard of anyone who was rejected from PRIME after interview, get accepted to regular DGSOM. Sad reality but I'm taking my acceptance and running with it. If anyone hears from DGSOM, it will be like finding a $20 bill in your pocket that you forgot was even there!
You're a horrible person for saying that. I feel lucky I didn't get accepted so I don't have to work alongside you.Probably not. Sadly there will be people like this anywhere you go... Just remember "stats" can only get you so far. A kind and caring attitude will in the end make the better physician. You're a horrible person for saying that. I feel lucky I didn't get accepted so I don't have to work alongside you.

Lol relax its just the keyboard talking for him/herYou're a horrible person for saying that. I feel lucky I didn't get accepted so I don't have to work alongside you.
And it seems like you won't have that characteristic as you go into medicine. This will eventually bite you in the butt. Good luck when that happens.Sadly there will be people like this anywhere you go... Just remember "stats" can only get you so far. Has anyone who was passed on to the undifferentiated DG program heard anything since the email from Dr. Thakur a month ago? [emoji51]

Looking at last year's UCLA thread, it seems that people who interviewed in mid-late march first heard back in early May with the people off the waitlist. Seeing that we were shifted over to regular admissions about that time, I would expect the same. Maybe this week or next week I would guess (hopefully.......)Has anyone heard back yet who's gotten rejected from PRIME?

Seriously! Anyone? Anything? Such a cruel process. [emoji848]
