Thanks ! I'm sooo excited! Any advice on how to prepare? is there anything unique about their MMI?

They definitey will. Those who interviewed on Dec 19th were told they would hear back during the third week of January (1/16 - 1/20).

Try checking your spam folder. A lot of schools admissions departments have emails known to be sent to spam folders. My WashU emails went to my spam folder
 
Is the MMI new for this app cycle and is it a paragraph thing you read and respond to or is it a person reading off something?

We signed NDAs so we can't discuss it. It's 5 stations and they'll explain to you what you have to do before you go in.

My spam mail empties every few weeks so it might have been deleted but I've gotten other emails from them .

Exactly, just prep for the 1v1 and let the MMIs flow naturally. It's a really relaxed day, don't overthink things.
 
I remember one of the current students mentioning how some of the students live on campus but when I looked online the page says on campus housing isn't available through the medical school. Can students still get on campus housing through the graduate umbrella? Or did I just remember that incorrectly?

To the best of my knowledge most medical schools don't offer housing directly, but the umbrella university (normally associated with undergraduate programs) does. So no, the medical school does not have on-campus housing, but Wayne State University does. The campuses are within a mile of each other so living "on-campus" is a viable option (though not the most economical). I don't believe the university offers exclusive graduate program housing, so you may be surrounded by the shenanigans of undergrads. Keep in mind that the school already is dealing with a student housing shortage (over a 1,000 more units are in the works), and the entire Midtown neighborhood cannot keep up with demand, so if you plan on living within a few miles of campus I would start looking for housing as soon as you are committed to Wayne.
 
Does anyone know if applying for the joint MD/MPH affects your interview timing at all? I didn't think it mattered, but I just came across the joint program hangout that states "Select candidates will be interviewed for the MD/MPH program in December, January and February". So is it possible that they skew their interviews where MPH/MD people actually don't get interviewed until later in the cycle?

Maybe? I applied MPH/MD but was invited to interview in August. Maybe I was rejected from the MPH program though and didn't know it lol

Nope! Just MD. I never heard anything about the MPH program so I assumed it was like other schools where you indicate interest but don't actually get in until the fall. But i assume it's equally as likely they passed on me for the MPH and offered me the MD only track. Let us know what you find out! Good luck! 🙂

My one line email response was: "MD/PHD interviews are conducted throughout the interview season"

Note, I asked about MD/MPH 🙄🙄🙄🙄
 
Quick question guys. I just received an email with my login to that checklist in order to complete the secondary. Are there any instructions for that checklist I'm missing anywhere? Also, for photo ID, do they mean a driver's licence or something?

For photo, they just need a current photo of you. At this point I thought it was too late to submit a secondary. The checklist should tell you what needs to be done

All we know so far is that they've sent out 555 invites, and people have heard they will be doing 1,000. So I think it's safe to assume we will get another "wave" soon.
