"Continued consideration." Something is very wrong with my interviews, and I don't know what it is. Look at my signature.

Same boat. 6 interviews attended so far... 2 WL and 1 post II Rejection. Honestly thought I did well in my interviews. I've been told I interview well and I currently have a very competitive non-medically related job where you need to have a strong personality and be personable in order to even land the job.

You have attended 25 interviews. Unless you horribly screwed up each and every single one, you’ll get an acceptance. If people are not constantly put off by you in every day life, then you probably didn’t screw them all up. It’s a numbers game in the end, and very few people will end up as outliers.

Deferred as well. Here's me hoping they went conservative in acceptances and eventually send acceptances to those in the deferred pile.

I'm just socially awkward, especially around authority figures, and I'm colorblind so MMI puzzle stations are awful for me.

Michigan's MMI must have suck for you then. Do another a mock interview if you have any interviews left, maybe you can get some feedback if u think that ur interviewing skills are at fault.

I've received a lot of waitlists / deferrals too. One at an interview where my interviewer and I shared common obscure interests and she invited me to her speaker event. Another at an interview where we the interview said the usual "I want you to be in our upcoming class"

It's been very hard and I admit that I haven't been taking this cycle as well as I could, but I recognize that the competition is tough and so many applicants have such amazing achievements.

Admit to crying a lot by the disappointment of some results but then have to just brush off and pack up for the next interview :/

II's are still going out. And as I mentioned earlier there is a BUNCH of waitlist movement at Sinai. They just have a policy to not accept more than a class at a time. As someone who was deferred, then waitlisted, then finally accepted in May I know how hard it is to hear "just hold on a little while longer" but the race isn't quite over yet.

Have they done any pre-II rejections here? I have been complete since mid-September and have not heard back.
Same here. I guess they do silent rejections! I just want to know an answer and they won't bother sending out a rejection until half a year later? such a stressful experience!

Congrats to everyone accepted!! Hope to see y'all at Sinai next year!

Also this has been said a few times in this thread but don't fret over continued status or even a wait list email. Talking to my class and the one above me it seems there is significant WL movement.

For my app last year: interviewed October, continued review november, wait-list march, accepted on traffic day (may 1 where applicants can only hold one acceptance).

I remember constantly trying to figure out if I should send something to the school after being wl'd but in the end I didn't send any updates or letters of interests. Some of my classmates did but honestly it's probably applicant dependent.

Best of luck to everyone!!

When I scheduled the earliest I saw was the entire week of Jan 22-26
Unless it's changed in recent years, that means there is a fair amount of interview slots left as they interview into March. At some point you are interviewing for the top of the waitlist at best though (and I believe they tell you that when you're there).

Do they accept update letters? And if so, is there an email that it should be sent to?

I sent in an update through the portal last week. Didn't receive a confirmation that it was received though

Does anyone know when mid-December interviewees will be hearing back? They kept it vague when I interviewed.

Has anyone who was deferred last month sent in an update since? wondering if this is a good idea or not since I don't have much new stuff to update the committee on...

i sent in an update a week before the deferral rip but yeah if you don't have much then i don't think it would be best idea to send in an update, unless it might be stuff that would help the "weak parts" of your app that you think got you deferred/

I sent in an update about a second job after getting deferred last month. I never actually got a confirmation that it was received.

Have there been any rejections? When I emailed them, they included a timeline and said they review applications until December and interview through February.

Hey everyone! I have an interview coming up here next Tuesday, January 16th. This is my top choice school and one of the few interviews I have received thus far (also my 2nd time applying so I really need to kill it this time around), so I am doing everything in my power to make sure I do as well as I can on this interview. So, if there is anyone that has interviewed/been accepted/is a current student at Mt. Sinai and would be willing to give me some advice and help me out, please feel free to slide into my DMs. Any and all advice would be greatly greatly greatly appreciated. Thank you again!
