Yes I'm on the wait list. I don't think the class has been filled yet. I just need to know! Tired of waiting. I guess only 10 more days..
I'm a 1st time applicant and Meharry is my first choice. I made a 17 on the DAT the first time. I plan on retaking again in September. Does anyone think this is a late test date for the 2013-2014 cycle?
its not too late to take the test then but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SUBMIT your app with the 17 latest July 15th. You will probably get an interview from some schools with your 17, don't let anyone tell you its not possible. So do as follow
1. do your research (schools that will look at 17 , Louisville, Meharry, Howard, Case etc,) and apply wide (10 schools at least) submit app by July 15
2. Prep for DAT rigorously, even if you get an interview before the test.
3. Stay positive. there are enough negative people , so be opposite
Why don't you call them? Tell them your situation and ask for a clear explanation. I'd speak with one of the professors from the admission committee, not the secretary who is going to tell you the same line over and over again. It sucks and its unfair that they have you going crazy from not knowing where you stand. I find it really awkward that they tell some applicants they are wait-listed and not others. How are you suppose to move forward? Anyway, don't let this ruin your dreams, Every Dog Has Its Day! Just improve your standings in grad school so you don't have to go through this again. At the end of the day, there was something that you didn't have that the other applicants had. Just brush your shoulder off and grind even harder in grad school. You never know, you may end up at a school like Harvard or UPenn. You have till the middle of june to hear back from Meharry, so keep some hope alive. Keep ya head upI know there's at least one person (according to the Facebook group) that moved off the waitlist into acceptance on Monday. I'm not even on the waitlist though... I shouldn't have any hope left, right? I'm just mad that they didn't tell me earlier. If I'm going to pause my life for a decision, I tend to hope it's a good one...
