This morning I was #denvered by an Alabama phone number. My heart still skipped a beat even though I was rejected from UAB. Momentarily I thought...maybe they’re calling to offer me a second chance?! Jk.

Similar thing happened to me: got a call from New Haven, CT and got all dysregulated - even though I already received an invitation to Yale! My first thought was, "oh God, they realized they made a terrible mistake and are rescinding their offer!!!" But no, it's just Cigna reminding me my health coverage is about to expire and to pick a new plan.
 
Anyone interviewing at the Durham VA next Tuesday the 12th? #bingobango?

Yuuuup. One of my sites is supposed to notify today and I've been on edge for hours...constantly reminding myself that it's not even 1 pm EST! There's still plenty of time (although that's a double-edged sword for sure).

I had 6 sites that I thought I would likely hear from on Friday. I heard from 1 of them, and another 1 yesterday... nothing so far today and it's very unnerving.

Has anyone been rejected by John D Dingell VA/ Hershey- Penn State yet? I know invites have already gone out but I am just trying to see if rejections have or if they are holding off on those for some twisted reason!

Sooo this is random but I have an interview in Wichita, Kansas. How are people navigating booking hotels? Affordable hotels...affordable is the key word there! I only need it for one night and I'd prefer to not stay in a super shady hotel where I feel like I should learn kung fu prior to staying there.

I would look at AirBNB. They usually have pretty affordable options in non-shady places.

I applied to Baylor, but I haven't seen my track pop up yet. Friend applied to Lurie, no rejection/interview on her end so far either. We continue to sit and wait.

I have been using expedia to book my hotels and have found some pretty good deals/options.

I've been to Wichita before and have several friends from there-- it all seems pretty affordable in terms of hotels. There's a little "downtown" area that's definitely safe. Feel free to PM me, and I can let you know where I stayed/ where I know is okay 🙂

-If & How You’re Staying Sane: Doing SO much better now!! I can't believe they are interviewing me!! I got their voicemail at work and then squealed, ran up and down the hallway, and was jumping up and down in joy. Now if only my heart would stop racing!!!
