Yes, this is one of just a couple I'm still waiting on. I also saw the 1/10 notification date listed when I checked back on APPIC... was hoping that was a mistake (or typo... 12/10??) Not sure how a site can notify so late and expect people to make travel plans within a week or so, since their open house is in "mid-January"?? 😳

Did you get confirmation of your interview date? I called and confirmed a date pretty immediately on the 27th but have yet to receive an email confirmation with a schedule..

Anyone else waiting to hear back from CHOC and Phoenix Children's Hospital? I know they've already sent out invites. They're technically in my "waiting-to-be-rejected" pile, but I'm also holding on to 1% hope...

Waiting for these last two rejections and it feels like I'm in a relationship with a guy who is really distant recently, maybe checking out girls and taking their numbers (and thinks I don't know, HA!), and I just want it to work out between us - but also preparing myself for him to eventually break up with me. CHOC and Phoenix need to just break up with me, real quick.

I am waiting on CHOC as well. I honestly feel like the rejection is coming soon.

Hello dear friends, I'm not sure what I would have done without you. I know I haven't been active but I actively laugh at the witty posts all day. They make this process somewhat bearable. I have a question for all of you. I interviewed last week at my number one site. They gave us a paper to fill out when we first walked in and ushered us into a room. I had a question about it so I roamed the hallway to find the nice coordinator to ask her what she meant. A very nice lady stopped me and asked me if I needed something. I introduced myself and so did she but I didn't catch her name. When I told her my name she said "aaah yes I read your application". I was a little confused and didn't say anything, politely asked my question, thanked her, and walked away. Then I realized she was the CLINICAL DIRECTOR whom I had read a ton about and loved her work etc. etc. I eventually interviewed with her but I can't stop obsessing over our first interaction. Do you think I screwed it up? Do you think she thought I dismissed her comment? The interview went fine I think.

Probably not, it sounds like you were polite and didn't say anything offensive. I think they understand that we're going to be meeting a ton of people and it's not always going to "click" when you run into someone important.

I'm with the others on this, not catching someone's name or just knowing who they are is understandable and it sounds like you were polite.

Don't overthink it. It's hard to know so many faces. I am trying to remember point people but some sites have huge lists of faculty that I can't keep straight.

Awhile back Lucile Packard invites got posted and I think they all listed it as a mass email. I haven’t received anything either way either but assuming rejection based on that!

Has anyone heard from the University of West Virginia Health Sciences Center (in Charleston, WV)? They had a late application deadline (12/1), and their interview notification date is 1/6/2018. However, their earliest interview date is also 1/5.

Not sure if anyone is waiting still but got a rejection mass email from state operated forensic services in MN, got an invitation from Southeast Human Services Center in ND about an hour ago

Good luck everyone, hope we all have more invitations waiting !
