How did you withdraw? I can't find the withdraw protocol anywhere.
I think once you are PTE somewhere on AMCAS, schools can see if you are accepted and not PTE at their school, and will withdraw your acceptance. (Beginning April 30)

Selecting PTE or CTE will not automatically withdraw you from other schools. You will need to email the school directly regarding your intent to withdraw.

Anyone not see PTE or CTE on the choose your medical school tool? I just see the school I have an acceptance too and then the paragraph saying "I understand ..." but I can't seem to click it to be able to hit save and continue...

I'm having the same issue

Just received this email!

Dear AMCAS Applicant,

We are experiencing a technical issue with the Choose Your Medical School Tool. The AMCAS team is working to identify and resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

We will share regular updates via Twitter (@AMCASinfo). If you have any questions or need assistance, contact us at 202-828-0600 or [email protected].

Warm regards,
AMCAS Outreach

If you are unsure between schools that you have been accepted to, do you still have to withdraw all schools except for one by April 30th?

I think it’s a toss up. They may withdraw you on their part. But at the very least yku will forfeit your 100. That obv doesnt apply to einstein because for einstein it was nonrefundable in the first place

Yeah it depends on the school. If you select PTE for one school, then the other school might either just withdraw your acceptance or might reach out to ask you why you didn't choose their school and what might they do for you to change your mind (only happened at one school for someone on the X vs. Y school thread).

Out of respect for people on waitlists, you really should drop all acceptances but 1. I understand it’s a hard decision but you’ll have to decide between them at some point, and if you don’t follow the rules and do it today there’s no guarantee schools wouldn’t withdraw your app anyways which could end poorly

So what are the theories on movement? Next week, right?

edit: as opposed to today/tomorrow

Just committed to enroll at a different school only because I am still on Einstein's WL. However, I got an email from Einstein minutes later saying they saw that I committed to enroll elsewhere and that my application will be withdrawn. Anyone else?
If you still want to remain on Einstein's WL, you should choose the "Plan to Enroll" option for the school you picked rather than "Commit to Enroll"

so as long as we stick to PTE we can stay on WLs. what about acceptances? does it depend on the school whether or not they'll automatically withdraw us?

You should withdraw the rest of your acceptances when you choose PTE. Some schools will automatically withdraw you, whereas others will not, so you should withdraw yourself.

exactly, to piggyback off of this you should not have more than 1 acceptance at the end of today, PTE just allows you to stay on waitlists but CTE does not

All schools require you to Plan to Enroll or Commit to Enroll today. If you Plan to Enroll, you have to withdraw your acceptances from all other schools but can stay on any waitlists; if you Commit you have to withdraw all acceptances AND waitlist spots. If you don't, you risk losing all of your acceptances including the school you PTE or CTE. So yes, even if you are unsure you unfortunately have to withdraw all acceptances except one today.
Sounds good, thank you for clarifying. I selected commit to enrol and withdrew my acceptances from the other programs

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone actually asked the admissions team what their tier was on the waitlist, or if high priority vs. normal waitlist emails were just speculation? Do we know if we are even permitted to know our tier? Did anyone reach out?

Not worth the risk tbh.

Is anyone still waiting to reschedule an interview? Trynna gauge how behind they are

I emailed Mary Pace after hearing nothing back about a reschedule for a few weeks. Was promptly rescheduled within a week of the email.

Not sure if they finished up with interviews for the year but worth a shot if you're still trying to go here.

Oh I already interviewed recently, I'm just wondering if we can expect decisions soon

Have you guys (who received the rolling admissions email) paid a deposit at another school? The school I PTE'd at has a non-refundable deposit deadline of May 6 so I'm hoping we hear back with an A before then so I don't lose $100 :arghh:
