I have two quick questions for any current students or applicants for this school that may be able to help. For reference, I just got an interview and set it for mid-December.

1) Considering when I received this interview invitation as well as when I scheduled it for, is it still early on in the cycle where I can be optimistic that I'm not interviewing for a wait-list spot.

2) Once you interview at the school, does the admissions committee still heavily factor MCAT scores and GPA in their acceptance decisions, or are you more considered based on aspects of your application outside of academics in addition to how the interview itself went?

Thanks in advance!

1. I got my II in March, interviewed in April, and am now an MS2. It's not late for the the Einstein cycle at all.

2. Impossible to tell unless you are on the admissions committee (which I am not - no students are). My understanding is that everything comes into play for the final decision.

I sent an email regarding the complete email and received a complete email half an hour later this morning lol submitted late July

I completed my app in July and sent a confirmation email about a week ago, but haven't heard anything back. Is there anything else I can do at this point?

Thank you for your AMCAS application and for your Supplemental Application to Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
We are writing to let you know that your application is in the process of being completed. It is our policy that prior to notification of completion by email, we preliminarily review each and every application to make sure that your documentation meets our requirements, and is ready for a thorough and holistic review by the Committee on Admissions.

All applications that can be, will be completed within the next 10 weeks. As you may know, Einstein has a long interview season and conducts interviews from September through April.”

another 10 weeks? That’s absolutely ridiculous

Lmao they invented a new kind of almost-complete email to try to tamp down our neuroticism and it’s totally backfiring [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

What does a complete application entail exactly? I submitted on 9/17 and got a "completed application" email on 9/17 about 5 minutes after I applied, does that mean anything?
