the key is to keep ordering things from amazon so you’ll focus more on your package arriving than the waitlist moving (i speak from experience)

They over-admit every year, AND they pull lots of applicants off the waitlist every year! I say this out of love and support, because I'm right here with you, worrying: go find some nature and chill!

Friday was definitely stressful, and it was actually nice to have the weekend without anything going on and to be able to relax! Hope everyone had a similarly relaxing weekend 🙂 Here's to a new week!
The weather in the Northeast this weekend was wonderful, so it was a great distraction from the waitlist worries! Best of luck to all of us next week!
should i send a letter of interest to a school I'm on the waitlist for? i already sent one before the interview and i feel like sending another one might make me look too desperate :/ I also don't have any significant updates... did you guys send any LOIs?
You can send it bearing in mind it really won’t do much besides probably check a box 🙂 the best thing you can do is take a nice evening stroll and watch a nice Netflix show.
I did after getting waitlisted in November. Sent a letter of update to the same school in January, but at that point I had 200 more clinical hours and 100 more volunteer hours. Gonna send another one next Monday with 100 more volunteer hours in a new activity and about 200 more clinical hours. Will it work? Idk. Do I have anything to lose? Nope lol

Man over the weekend I wasn’t really anxious bc I knew no one was gonna get a call anyways but this morning I woke up feeling nauseous and on edge..... cheers to hoping that all of us get the good news to end our misery ASAP!!!
Last night I had a dream that I got accepted to my second choice school out of my 3 waitlists and my self-esteem is so low that I realized it was a dream and it became lucid.

Nice to know I’m not the only one, I struggle w the same thing!!!!!!! Almost every night, then wake up sad and confused, and repeat.
I feel this sooo hard. I don’t even know what to do with myself right now. I can’t focus on anything. I just need to know what my future holds!!! It’s comforting to know I’m definitely not alone.
Maybe it’s just me but what worries me the most is that there was a ton of movement last year on May 1 but this year there hasn’t been much at all...
With covid happening, I think some delays are inevitable :/

What if schools accepted at their limit, and because of the new AAMC rules, schools can't see how many places an applicant was accepted to. So they're being very very careful with their acceptances. As a result, less A's have been given out and more WL's. Thus, those people that have one A outnumber those that have multiple, leading to less withdrawals from schools and overall less WL movement. Thoughts?

Relax. It hasn't even been 2 business days.
I’d be more worried if there was a lot of movement on May 1 and I wasn’t included lol. I just think everything is delayed
Yeah I do have a little hope bc looking at the individual schools, it seems a lot of people have dropped their acceptances and there seems to be a lot of movement. So I think everything really is just mega delayed...

Also, there may not even be movement this week. This may actually be something that requires until mid-May for real movement to start! As hard as it is, we just gotta be patient!

I think it varies from school to school
The school in waitlisted at said 500 intervied, 110 accepted, 100 waitlisted. But they are also known to take a significant amount off the waitlist too.
Really depends on the school.
