Well, no progress on the AAMC data irregularities.
I just assume they are operating off of emails. Like, people withdrawing are more than likely emailing, so they know if seats are openedSo is schools are making offers off the waitlist, does that mean the glitch isn’t affecting them? Or possibly they will offer even more spots once it is fixed? 😅😅
Did the dean happen to mention if the glitch was delaying the process at all? saw you on the other thread lol, just curious if that's why SKMC has had no movement at all or just very little waitlist movement this cycle. Thanks! They do, because I sent an update to SKMC (which approximates 300 waitlistees) early this morning, and the dean responded.
The glitch has reportedly, been resolved.
Back to our regularly scheduled mayhem.

It will depend on how much got done in anticipation of the return to function.Should we be expecting movement tomorrow ?![]()

At least we can get back to work.
Contingency plans may have been approved that would allow return to function. That makes sense. Would it be safe to say it may be pushed back to Monday if you guys don’t work in it this evening because of business hours?

That's what we did.
Update - I got my first MD A 😭😭😭 so thankful for everyone’s support ❤️❤️❤️I feel very blessed to have received 2 DO acceptances but I am on 3 MD waitlists for schools I prefer. I know I’m in a situation that is very fortunate compared to some, but I am really struggling. The weight of all of the uncertainty about where I’ll end up gets heavier and heavier every day. It’s so hard to balance trying to get excited about attending the DO school I’ve chosen while also holding hope for another acceptance. I’m struggling with comparison. This process is so hard.
Manifesting greatness for all of us stuck in limbo. Thankful for SDN to make me feel less alone.
Tell us where on the school's thread!Update - I got my first MD A 😭😭😭 so thankful for everyone’s support ❤️❤️❤️
Could I know which school? They do, because I sent an update to SKMC (which approximates 300 waitlistees) early this morning, and the dean responded.
SKMC=Sydney KimmelCould I know which school?
Do they see individual applicants? I think they just see the number who commit to enroll and the number of pple with multiple acceptances, but not the individual stats of each applicant?Question about CYMS:
I know that schools can see an applicant's status when they "commit to enroll" versus when they "plan to enroll" either at their school or other schools. However, for applicants with no acceptances and no access to CYMS (just waitlists), what do schools see for them?
+1 for the progressivepremeds questionDo they see individual applicants? I think they just see the number who commit to enroll and the number of pple with multiple acceptances, but not the individual stats of each applicant?

Do schools consider that when deciding to offer an A to a candidate, because these students will most likely accept the offer and do it quickly since they don't have any As? Or no?We see N/A.

Sometimes, especially as we get closer to orientation.Do schools consider that when deciding to offer an A to a candidate, because these students will most likely accept the offer and do it quickly since they don't have any As? Or no?
We never see where you applied, interviewed, are waitlisted or where you are accepted.currently on 3 waitlists, wondering if schools can see other places I have been waitlisted at?

If thats the case then gdi im screwedPure speculation here but I assume schools target those with PTEs first, as they are likely more competitive applicants and are on a time crunch (different schools have different "commit by" dates). Given a good enough offer, the hope is to have that student attend your school. As the pool of competitive applicants dwindle, they target those with only waitlists since their only option is to withdraw.
Feel free to correct me.

If anyone knows someone that got off Penn State’s WL this week pls lmkAnyone know anything about OSU or browns waitlist? Has anyone gotten off / know anything about the odds
"Not applicable." It means that they have neither PTE nor CTE at any school.May be a dumb question but what does N/A mean? And how do schools view this for the applicant?
If I am PTE to a school, can schools I am waitlisted at see the name of the school I am PTE at? Or just that I have an acceptance"Not applicable." It means that they have neither PTE nor CTE at any school.
No.If I am PTE to a school, can schools I am waitlisted at see the name of the school I am PTE at?
I feel this on a deep levelMe whenever I see people accepted off the WL on the school-specific sdn threads
Can schools see how many acceptance/waitlist/rejection you have for the cycle? We never see where you applied, interviewed, are waitlisted or where you are accepted.
