For those of you who interviewed here, how long did the convo last? had mine today and it was only 30ish minutes so I'm getting in my head about it
mine was 45 minutes, went over, there was a lot of overlap in our academic interests, hopefully that was a good sign but who knows if means anything though. my friend who is an MS1 currently said theirs was a quick 20 min and they got in so i def think quality of time over quantity comes first

mine was around 45 but he spent the first 10 min of it asking if I had any questions so wasn’t even sure if he was going to ask me any, then proceeded to ask me my whole family history 😂

Do we think it’s too late to send an interest/update letter since decisions come out in a week 💀💀

Mine was a bit over an hour. I don’t think it means anything other than my interviewer planned to end at about the hour mark. I didn’t feel like I did particularly well or anything to make it go any longer. I’d guess it’s very interviewer dependent, honestly.

I sent mine anyways since I already wrote it. I figure like my odds of changing their minds now are better than after I get waitlisted LOL (assuming they even read it).

same but I had my interview yesterday, I think they're just getting around to them now

Anyone know the email to send updates?

Have they started sending pre-II rejections already? Not sure, but I saw on their website that they don’t send any rejections until early Feb?

Does anyone know the chances of mid-December interviewees being accepted? Looking at past threads, it seems like many people who interviewed in Dec didn't hear back or were put on the WL. I interviewed right before the holidays so I'm not sure.

As a Jan II, I looked through the last 3 years. Everyone past the first week of Dec heard Mid Feb or later. Not 1 got an A originally after 2/1. Everyone got HPWL, WL, or R.
I think they take a full class on the Feb 1st release then fill in with the rest tbh. I was disappointed that I couldn’t find one initial A after Feb 1st. There were plenty who went HPWL -> A later on though

So basically anyone interviewed after first week of december is either going to get a HPWL/WL (initially) or a R

Maybe people who interviewed recently or are going to have an interview soon won’t get it yet

I don't think they did this newsletter thing last year so I wonder why they decided to do it this year

I interviewed early September hopefully that means, A!><
I wasn’t saying everyone who interviewed early than Dec got the A. Plenty got WL/R too. Just saying for the Dec on got HPWL at best initially. Good luck though!

Did anyone receive confirmation from their update letters? I sent one last Thursday and nothing. Not sure if they are just swamped before decisions
