Similar to previous years, this is a thread for current surgery residents who are going through the application/interview/match process for Independent Plastic Surgery 2023-2024. The Match will be in May 2023 with positions starting July 2023. This is not for current medical students who are applying for integrated plastic surgery programs.

This is the place to let everyone else know when interview requests have been sent out, ask questions about the process, or ask about various programs. This can also be a place for current fellows to talk about their home programs and/or what it was like to go through the process.

Perhaps change the title of the post to better reflect the listing and help people find this information. 2023 Plastic Surgery Independent Residency for 2024 Positions. Match will be in May 2023 with positions starting in July 2024

There was a paper in 2016 or something that suggested 7 was needed to match. I know people that had 5 or 6 and matched. I had like 14. I think what's most important is focus on putting your best foot forward.
