Yeah, I haven't heard from any of these programs, but I'm assuming their interview invites already went out since we're in late February.

Someone reported in the WhatsApp that vandy is not interviewing anyone this year. Not sure the validity of this.

Question as a prospective 2025 independent candidate. Can anyone comment on an away elective in terms of where to go (in vs out of state), what programs are known to allow it, and how to go about applying for a one-month position? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I was part of the 2022 and 2023 match. I didn’t match the first year but matched the second year to UTennessee Chattanooga. I am currently the burn fellow at the university of chicago, working with Dr Lawrence Gottlieb (burn and plastics recon) and Dr David Chang (microsurgery). For anyone that doesn’t initially match, this program opens great doors (literally had amazing interviews the second round just by saying I was coming here to work in my interim year, without having worked here yet). We are currently interviewing for the 2024-2025 fellow, and so if anyone has an interest in burn plastics and doesn’t match, please reach out to me at brittany.davis@uchicagomedicine.org
