With the Development of AAMC/HHMI scientific and personal competencies the George Washington University Committee on Admissions for MD Programs has moved from strict premedical requirements to competency-based recommendations. Mastery of these competencies should be reflected in strong academic performance, MCATs, experiences and letter(s) of reference. Please see minimum eligibility information here: Minimum Eligibility & Recommendations for the 2025 Cycle

The Committee on Admissions requires completion of an undergraduate degree from a U.S. or Canadian college or university prior to matriculation. The following pre-requisite competencies are required prior to matriculation: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Laboratory Experience, English, and Social/Behavioral Science.

(AP/IB is accepted except for Biology if present on undergraduate transcripts. Transfer credits from foreign institutions are not accepted unless part of a formal study abroad program accepted by your degree-granting institution.)
Do you understand you need to complete these recommendations prior to matriculation? (Yes/No)

6. Select the campus you prefer for your clinical education (Reminder: ALL students will have their pre- clinical education at our main campus followed by clinical education at the pre-assigned campus in your acceptance letter based on your selection below)

Hi! GW is one of my top choices, and I just finished pre-writing their secondary. Are any ADCOMS or current medical students willing to read over my draft?

Hi guys, I read on MSAR "MCAT scores that include a score of 123 or below are considered non-competitive. We will continue to take the highest of each subsection across MCAT exams. Further, in terms of subsection scores, generally, a 125 or greater is considered competitive for the Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems subsection."

Does this mean they're "super scoring" the highest subsections of each MCAT? Just wanted some clarification

Are prompts the same as last year? I don’t have a computer near me to check

Their web portal is glitching out for me and I don’t even see any essay questions at all other than biographical info
Got it working now:

"2. Have you ever registered at an institution under a different name?"

Is this asking if I've been to a different institution, or if I've used a different name?

Just asking if you ever used a different name anywhere.

If you used a different name

Can someone post all the prompts together, especially including prompts 1-6?

How many LORs did you send GW? Their website says 3 are required but doesnt specify a maximum you can send. Their MSAR says they will accept up to 5, but I have been burned before by trusting MSAR lol

anyone still not received the secondary? primary verified in 7/2/24

Is it a red flag to them if you are not interested in MD/MPH program? since their curriculum is so public health heavy

did anyone get a complete email or anything? all i got was that i paid lol
