2024-2025 Rush

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Sorry this question is so late to the game but have people been getting "complete" emails other than the standard "Your RMC Application is now Complete" email that you get after your secondary, LORs, are all in? Trying to gauge if they have even looked at my app yet... thanks!

Did anyone feel unhappy with how they did on the interview and still received an A?

Guys, is it mandatory to send thank you letters? If so - I remember the first names of my interviewers but not the last names. Who should I address my letter to?
Who are you all addressing the letter to? Just 'Dear Admissions Committee'?
Thank you!

It's not mandatory, but you should be able to find the first/last names of your interviewers on the Thalamus interview platform. Thalamus Home Page > Schedule > RMC Recruitment Day. From there, the name(s) should be listed in grey to the right of the green Rush Seal/Anchor Cross under "Rush Medical College Medical School." I believe I went with "Dear Dr. [First Last Name]," but it really is up to you. Hope that helps!

Thank you! I did that, but sadly I still don't see the names of my interviewers. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

Oh darn, I'm sorry. Perhaps you can send an email to request your interviewers' names (explaining how you tried to find them through Thalamus). Or perhaps sending a general one?

does this school hold-off on in-state people until last? Any current medical students have any in-sight?

I feel like I always see OOS II in this thread, but it could also be that the majority of IS people don't use SDN.

i highly doubt they would separate IS from the general applicant pool given that they are a private school with no IS bias

Yes I did! I felt very good about one of my interviews and then honestly thought I bombed the other interview. It felt to me like I completely messed up my "Why Medicine" answer and then was spiraling when he asked the next question and had to ask him to repeat it and fully thought that I screwed up my chances. Got the A though, so goes to show anything can happen haha.
