2ck score release and LORs

I got a very mediocre Step 2 CK score, and would prefer not to release it. However, I do have some additional LORs that I would like to assign. Have I just screwed myself? Or is there a way to add the LORs without updating USMLE scores to reflect the new Step 2 score?

And is taking and passing Step 2 but getting a crappy score better than not taking it at all?

The USMLE score release and LOR upload are separate. You can change one without affecting the other.

As for releasing your CK score at all, some programs will want it before ranking while others won't. If any of your programs require or recommend it, you'll just have to release it. As long as you passed it, it won't make that much of a difference for most programs.
