Hello all, I need help choosing my courses for the second semester, currently I plan on taking:

Basic Human Physiology
Principles of Genetics
Organic Chemistry I
Analytical Chemistry
English ( Drama or Literature)

My question is if I choose these courses will I have enough time to study enough for each one ? I don't want my grades to be affected by time mismanagement.
Thank you.

Most people try and avoid taking 3 major science courses at once. Four is going to be a lot of studying, but not impossible.

That looks rough. Especially if you have a job and are volunteering. Drop analytical Chem & take an easier elective.

Here's the thing I'm not doing any volunteering or working any job. And actually there are no electives, everything is mandatory lol See at the beginning of the first year, they gave us this schedule of every single course we have each semester, now we can choose to follow it or change a bit. I can talk to my advisor but problem is she's known for being tough and giving students a lot of hard courses together in the same semester :/ So i don't have a lot of people who can help me decide on how to choose my courses and i don't even know how hard each course is, though i know physio and orgo are hard but i don't know about analytical and principles of genetics, btw the analytical chem teacher is known to be a total idiot and students complain each year about him. So as you can see i'm conflicted lol

Sounds like my adviser. Heres what you do: SAY NO. Tell her its your schedule.

Hah well yea I thought about that except I have no idea how to organize my courses. I mean she's the bloody adviser why the hell doesn't she do her damn job !? -_- I know I'm nagging a lot lol but it's just i don't wanna lose my scholarship right now, everything is already too expensive and it's a burn losing it lol

Yikes. You may be spreading yourself too thin if you are also working and volunteering. You don't want to do poorly in all of your classes. I would drop one of the major science courses and pick up an elective or easier gen ed. (Don't let your advisor bs you... There are always electives you can take.) Good luck!

That would be a VERY heavy course load. I took 3 heavy science courses at once (physics + lab, organic + lab, and physio) and regretted it. Three is a lot, let alone 4.

Mmmm guess i should cut back on a course, okay when i talk to my adviser i'll tell her i can't follow a schedule like this and that i need something easier to be able to keep my grades up. Thanks guys !🙂
