Whether or not this will be the final "Scrubs" season, this will definitely be Zach Braff's final season. The season finale is being written as JD's farewell from the hospital, but Lawrence is shooting two slightly different versions of the very end of it: one for if the show is being renewed and will come back without Zach, one for if this is the series finale. (The latter version would feature Janitor's real name, as Lawrence has been saying forever that when you find out Janitor's name, the show is over.)

according to bill lawrence (producer) if they do continue scrubs it wont be the "same show". He will basically try to make a completely new show with the main characters now making appearances. So we'll have to see

I've been waiting for a new one on itunes...I get them all there so I can watch them on my own time, and because I love my imac and like using it as a tv. To the person who started with season 4, if you haven't seen 1-3 yet you should, I think the first 5 seasons are the best. (Although 8 has proven better than 6 and 7 imo)

Interesting new information : "The Todd" was always portrayed as a crude sex fiend character who was always posing in his underwear and making crude comments. He seemed to be interested in both genders.

Yet he never got any. He's a buff surgeon. Even if he sexually harasses everyone he sees, surely he could get SOMEONE to sleep with him.

Well, in last nights episode, we finally find out what his sexual preferences are...let's just say that one person is not enough for the Todd, nor does he prefer in one gender over another...

Did the finale make anyone else a little misty? I'm not ashamed to say that I sniffled a bit at the very end when he was walking down that hallway and when they projected on his face.

I'm really surprised that something as off-the-wall as Scrubs managed to last 8 seasons. But there are some gems in there... the first half of the last season notwithstanding.

yea it was good. More serious than most other episodes but did a good job wrapping things up.

Why not buy a TV tuner if you have cable access? You can record the shows on your iMac. iTunes gets pretty expensive after a while. (Or just watch the shows on abc.com a couple days later at high quality or the following websites the same night at lower quality).

Yeah the beginning of season 8 was bad but towards the end it improved.

I'm glad they brought the show to a meaningful conclusion. During the finale, I was a tiny bit irked by how JD has not grown up much in 8 years. But perhaps that's more realistic than you might think. Certainly how few people in the hospital ever really realized or acknowledge he was leaving, that was realistic.

But when the other doc walked by he said, "Hey Tommy". I think they definitely set it up for another season, probably just waiting for the green light from the studio to make it official. I think the best part was when they are showing the "home video" from the future; JD and Turk freaking out when their children get engaged, with Turk mouthing "I knew it, I knew it". So awesome, I'm going to miss that bromance.

Note: I just lost a lot of respect for myself by using the term "bromance" in an actual sentence.

The last episode was THE best episode of any show ever. When JD tricked Cox into complementing him it was hilarious! The future 'dream' JD had at the end was really nice too, when he kept passing out, and the two sweaters... oh boy, AMAZING.

Scrubs is over though, Braff, Donald and the guy who plays cox have all stated they will not do a next season, and with a finale like they had last night opening up any more story lines would just ruin the perfection of that finale.

While I still watched it, I agree that the show has definitely got worse over the past several seasons. I'm glad they ended it (and hopefully won't be bringing it back).
