Hello,

I was wondering how and where everyone printed their 2x2 photo? I have a high resolution photo jpeg that I copied x12 onto a standard word document.

I have tried the Create your own passport photo for free - IDPhoto4You and had it printed at Walgreens but it diluted the quality.

I had the same problem printing at Walgreens/cvs. I ended up used a website called Mpix. I had to do wallet sized photos and was able to trim them down to 2x2 size. Very high resolution and fast shipping.

Google “passport photo” and find the closest CVS, walgreens etc that offers it. Where a nice shirt and a tie (pants optional) and they will take a picture and print them out for you on the spot in the exact size.

I’ve heard program directors will actually measure your photos to make sure they’re exactly 2x2. It’s a way they can gauge your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Well now I don’t feel bad for sitting there a year ago and measuring every 2x2 photo I sent out and discarding the ones that were a hair narrow ha.

It varies by program. Some want them mailed. Some want email.
My problem is our state has been under partial lockdown since Mid-March so finding ways to get a photo taken is proving difficult. I’m hopeful we’ll open up in the next couple of weeks.

I couldn’t find anywhere that would print 2x2 (only wallet options and kiosks that couldn’t ensure that a cropped wallet photo would look right).

So... I have a cheap printer that is about 5 years old but there’s often still a print setting for “High quality photos”. I purchased 5x7 photo printer pack and used Word to align 4 photos per sheet. You can choose the paper size in Word as 5x7 and use the digital ruler on the side to resize your square photos to 2x2. The photos honestly come out just as nice as if you had them professionally printed because they are so small anyway. Obvi I wouldn’t recommend this for bigger photos.

For Colorado Children hospital they are asking for an emailed portrait photo. Does that mean we ditch the passport 2*2 and we can send a portrait that is not necessary square shaped?
