cGPA: 3.7 sGPA: 3.6, upward trend on both (~3.95 this last year)
MCAT: 519, 130/131/128/130, taken 1x
Traditional applicant
Clinical Exposure:
- ~50 college hours volunteering at pediatric hospital, mostly freshman/sophomore since it was continued from high school
-1 year clinical research recruitment
Shadowing: ~200 hrs, various disciplines
Non-clinical Volunteering:
- ~150 hrs peer health education on campus
- ~200 hrs unpaid internship for public health/underserved communities
Employment: worked throughout college including food service, desk jobs, refereeing
Research: >1000 hrs/2 years in current lab (clinical research). Completed thesis, now have my own team & project to lead. Handful local/regional posters, some which won awards. Travelled internationally for project. Will be submitting first-author paper v. soon -- no guarantees but hopefully will be accepted during cycle and can update schools.
Leadership:
-project leader in lab as described
-founded, am current president of social org consistent with my diversity status
Awards
-2 summer research fellowships
-scholarship for leadership within minority community
Should have some pretty good LoRs, especially from PI and my internship director

Thanks in advance! I'm mostly wondering what my chances are at top schools given stats and whether the low-yield schools are worth it
