Above average ECs
NJ resident

I have shadowed DOs, but my letter of rec within my committee letter is an MD

When is the latest that I can apply and still be competitive to these programs?

I've applied to 27 MD schools. I just want to maximize my chances at an acceptance this cycle. But I don't want to waste a decent amount of money applying to DO schools if I won't have a chance without a DO letter of rec

You are competitive for all DO schools with your stats so apply to NYIT, Touro NY, PCOM and add the one in NJ. Some schools do require a DO LOR so check with each school. It would be good to apply by September if possible.
