Hi all, TX resident here trying to apply to a few (5-6) medical schools out of state to maximize my chances of getting in. I am ORM from a top 100 university.

About 400 hours of clinical experience in various specialties.

About 1500 hours of various research endeavors. 1 submitted for pub as 2nd author, 1 pub in undergraduate journal as 1st author, and 1 that will be published around when I graduate (high impact journal but like last in authorship).

About 210 hours of straight volunteering/community service.

What do y'all think of this list?
  1. Vermont Med School
  2. PSU
  3. Creighton
  4. Loma Linda
  5. Georgetown
Thanks so much for y'alls help and I look forward to your suggestions.

You are competitive for your Texas MD schools and you should receive several interviews. If you want to try OOS schools consider Tulane, Quinnipiac, Oakland Beaumont and Western Michigan.

With a GPA that high and an MCAT way above the norm for TX, you're golden. You're gonna have a good cycle OP, but I'm sure you already knew this.
