Best piece of advice in this entire thread. I haven't played, not even once, since I started med school and it probably single-handedly saved me from flunking out. 😉


Agree. Folks, if Arsenewenger is annoying you so much, you have a few choices, not mutually exclusive:

1) Respond civilly and attack his points without flaming him.

2) Ignore him (you can add him to your ignore list in your user CP, and then you won't even have to see his posts)

3) Hit the little triangular "report posts" button to let the mods know if his posts are violating TOS. (It's the little white one with the exclamation point in the lower left hand corner of each post.)

I agree with your points, most especially #1. I have no problem whatsoever with anybody attacking my post(s), definitely not with pseudo/soon to switch pre-meds .

thats the thing. his responses were attacks on other people who were actually making points and contributing to the thread. thats what pissed people off the most. you can disagree with someone w/o commenting on his/her "lack of brain cells." the truth is, arsenewenger has no idea about anyones intelligence on this thread but he thinks he is special because he has "gained a seat at med school." congrats on being born a few years before all of the pre meds on this forum. if he would have just said his opinion without belittling EVEYRONE he disagreed with, no one would have attacked him, and no one would think he is a giant douche.

If that is true, then no one should be offended by my comments. Contrary to popular belief, I do not ,in any way, see myself as a special person. I am a regular person with a below average intelligence and a weird sense of humor.

the grinches heart grew three sizes that day. just be careful when you talk to other people about something you disagree with. even if it was your intent, i assure you nothing that you said came off as remotely humorous (hence the uproar).
