Does anyone have info on the 3 year HPSP program? I was admitted to UDM for this cycle but I have serious doubts about paying the 450k back by myself. Is it rare to give out 3 year scholarships vs 4 year?

Contact your recruiter. There isn't a lot of info out and about online. 3 year is easier to get into than 4 year but it's likely many people from the 4 year who got rejected are applying for 3 year

This is not true. 4-year and 3-year military scholarships are a completely separate thing. While there are a lot more 4-year scholarships available, 3-year are very limited in number. People that get waitlisted after applying for the 4-year scholarships will be given the priority for the 3-year scholarship in the following year. How many ever left after giving out to those from the previous cycle will be given to those that specifically applied for 3-year scholarships.

I think only Air Force offers 2-year scholarships and I would suggest that you talk to @Incis0r !

Im already in touch with my recruiter but just something to think about moving forward. I wouldn't mind doing a 2 year scholarship either honestly

Is the 3 year one only for the final 3 years of dental school or can it be for the first 3 years if you apply while you're still in undergrad?

They exist. Not always offered every year, but they do exist.
