3 Yr Air Force HPSP Stipend

Hello!

I am a first year dental student selected for the 3yr HPSP scholarship through the Air Force and I'm still waiting for my scroll to be approved so I can commission. I was hoping to figure out if my monthly stipend begins as soon as I commission or if I have to wait until next semester when the Air Force begins to cover my tuition. Any information would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm in the same situation, although my scroll was already approved and I've already commissioned.

Talked to my recruiter, and other recipients, and you don't start getting the stipend until next semester, when you have tuition and such covered as well.

Hope it goes through soon!

You likely will not get it until you start next semester when they begin payment for tuition and fees.
