when a school says you will have 30 hours of didactic study, what do they mean?

Probably like 30 units - is this for dental school, or before dental school? Wouldn't be unheard of for a load in your first year.

It means you have 30 hours of scheduled classes/labs in a week. Seems average for dental school. I had 34 scheduled hours last semester in DS.

Yes, pretty much. I would say expect a 2.5x increase in workload from undergrad to dental school. Generally I have 7-8 hours of lecture/lab per day.

Nope. That's another 15 hours a week (depending on the week).
