Hi everyone,

I am a 3rd year undergraduate, and I was wondering if driving 30 minutes to a pharmacy clerk job is too far? It is an independent compounding pharmacy and I live across the street from my campus. Thank you for any advice!

Many people have longer drives on a daily basis. Take the job--->profit.

I think that sounds really manageable, but then again, I grew up in an area that was 1/2 hour away from any shopping centers :)

For a while I drove between 60 and 90 minutes each way for a pharmacy internship position (aka traveling from big city A where I live to big city B for internship). It was a long drive, but the experience was well worth it.

I currently drive 40 minutes each way for sometimes a 3 hour shift for my current pharm tech position.

I feel like the experience is what solidified my acceptance to pharm school.

If you don't have any experience, in my opinion it's definitely worth it.

A 30 minute drive doesn't sound like a long commute at all. I would take the job.
