If I use some of my vacation time, I may be able to set-up four electives in ophtho (as a MS4).

Is this too many?

I would be targeting smaller, mid-teir programs where I think 'face-time' would make a significant difference.

Thanks for any thoughts on this matter.🙂

if you plan to apply to allopathic programs, i think the more aways you do, the better (if you're well liked).

Many programs will weed your application out, unfortunately, because you are a DO student, so getting the most interviews you can get would be to your advantage.

Rotate at as many programs as possible. I realize its hard to get to all these random programs but its worth it. Face time is a big factor in the osteo ophtho world.

If your school will allow it, you might consider splitting each month into 2 week rotations. This way you'll be able to visit more programs and get seen.
