4 second check

Can the company be investigated for this? When a claim is made that a pharmacist, liable for drug interactions, etc, is not given what would be considered a REASONABLE amount of time for Rx review, you would think the company would be looked at a little more closely.

Granted, this is one anonymous email to a guy who published it, but the thought of being in this position is ridiculous.

Wow! Makes the 1 minute and 48 seconds I have to average to verify scripts look like a lifetime! Just remember kids....someone always has it worse than you do....

Oh and welcome to the future of the profession....I am excited!

i love the canned response by walgreens, those PR people must be paid a lot to spew massive amounts of bullsh*t from their department.

almost as bad as those people who sell timeshares. haha

I see a possible class-action lawsuit on the horizon for Walgreens, it is only a matter of time. Any patient who has ever experienced an error at Walgreens or any pharmacist who was "wrongfully terminated" could bring a suit...due to Walgreens not allowing their pharmacists to fulfill the law by having a reasonable amount of time to verify a prescription.

I do think that Wags would lose a class action suit and be liable for hundreds of millions - billions in damages.

This is all just my opinion though...I have no facts to back it up.

That's actually kind of slow for a high volume store. :/ The pharmacy veterans I've worked with seem to average at about a minute. According to them, all you need is a right name, date of birth, drug, strength, instructions. Everything else can be fixed if the customer complains about it.
This tactic ticks me off because I'm always left cleaning up the 'fast verifiers' mess of quantity errors or missed refill number.
