Personally, I took the mcat 3x. On my third attempt, I improved 20 points and am a top scorer now. The first two attempts were taken within a month of each other a few years ago due to me being a stupid 20 year old and not taking the time to evaluate myself and my errors along with family pressures. However, students in college are growing and maturing. The student I was two years ago is not the student I am today when I got my top score. Life is about learning and growing. If you can learn from your mistake and have something to prove it, then I don't think one should be judged by the mark of who they used to be for the rest of their lives.
If you make the decision to go after he mcat again, go after it tenaciously. Believe in yourself. Don't let anyone or anything knock you down. Stop caring about how others will perceive it. You may get an adcom that admires your tenacity. And you may get one that frowns upon the fact that you weren't perfect from the getgo. Apply broadly, and someone will look upon you favorably. The best movies, after all, involve the rise of the underdog and people fighting hard to overcome adversity. It makes you strong and builds your character. PM me if you want more help and advice.
