Is anyone else having any serious trouble getting motivated to do 8-10 hour days. My test is in 5 weeks and I have already had 3 weeks off in which I have studied an amazing 10-15 hours total. 🙁

Has anyone who has taken the test or is taking the test studied for 5 weeks or less for step1? Anyone else having these motivation issues? let's kick each other in the A$$ and get going.

I studied 4 weeks, usually 14-16h/day and did great. You can always use more time to study because of all the material, but it's a balancing act between learning something new and starting to forget the details of the stuff you started with.

I only have 4 weeks to study for Step I. I go about 6 hours a day and 100Qbank questions at night.

5 wks is plenty! just make sure its consistent study...MAKE A SCHEDULE!

Trust me, 5 weeks is more than enough. I'd say shoot for 4 weeks. You'll be burned out by that time. I used about 4.5 weeks and didn't study at all for the last 3-4 days because I was so sick of studying. It might not seem like enough time, and I thought 4 weeks wouldn't be enough, but it truly is just because you will be so tired at the end.

I had such a hard time getting into the swing of things in the beginning of my 4.5 wk study session (I'm 2 wks away now). The trick was to get out of the apt early, make a schedule for the day, take "breaks" from studying by doing questions, and then planning out real breaks as a treats (ie study til 8-6, then go have dinner with someone supportive, the go back to studying).
