I'm planning to apply to MPH and MS programs in global health or epidemiology. Is spending an extra year in undergrad frowned upon?
I have a pretty good (>3.6) GPA from an ivy league and could graduate on time, but spending an extra year will allow me to take (free) transfer classes in things not offered at my undergrad and focus more on my thesis senior year. Does this carry any kind of stigma? Is it better to graduate after four years and then spend another year taking what I want at the university where I have free tuition?
