Hi everyone, looking for some advice. What am I missing or lacking?

RACE: Asian
GENDER: Male
MAJOR: Biology
STATE: CA
YEAR: Junior
UNGRAD. SCHOOL: UC

GPA: 3.92c/3.9s
MCAT: 515

VOLUNTEERING:
Clinical:

~500 hours - 2 different hospitals, rotated through all clinical departments
~160 hours - local free clinic, provided healthcare to local underserved populations
~50 hours - traveled to Mexico to provide healthcare for disadvantaged populations

Non-clinical:
~
100 hours - tutored at my school
~100 hours - various

SHADOWING:
~50 hours with general practitioner

RESEARCH:

Will be 2 academic years in Biochemistry lab by the time of application

LEADERSHIP:

~Officer for the local free clinic
~Officer of the club that I travel to Mexico with
~Peer mentor for pre-health organization on campus
~Student ambassador for college of sciences on campus

I haven't made a list of schools yet, any recommendation on where to apply? I would like to know my chances at Ivy or UC med schools!

Please be brutally honest. I realize that I am both Asian as well as a California resident.

You're a solid candidate for many schools as long as you don't blow off the need to make a solid OOS list being from CA you should be fine

Irvine's worth the app. A is 34 below average ideally for many in the top 20 range but some dream schools as long as you have a good list of a dozen or so reasonable OOS targets is fine

I suggest:

I suggest the following. Nothing wrong with aiming high; the ones I have in bold are schools where your MCAT score is 2-3 points below their avg, and your GPA is ~ the same as the school avg. Thus, proceed with caution on these, but I feel you're in striking distance for some.

U VM
U Toledo
Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Albert Einstein
Rochester
Rosy Franklin
NYMC
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
USC/Keck
Dartmouth
MCW
Loyola
USF Morsani
Emory
BU
Mayo (both)
Duke
Case
U AZ
JHU
Pitt
Northwestern
NYU
Vanderbilt
Columbia

Hofstra
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
UCLA
UCD
UCI
UCR IF you are from the Inland Empire

Suggest adding more service hours, especially towards those less fortunate than you.

Thanks Goro, what do you think my chances are at UCSD or Weill Cornell?

Thanks Goro, may I ask for some input also from @gyngyn ? I will hopefully be applying next cycle so I have some time to boost my EC's a little.

EDIT: Is UCSF worth the app or should I save my money haha

You know you are going to apply to all the CA schools! We all do (did). The only one I don't recommend is CN"U."
Just remember, most successful CA applicants have to leave to go to medical school.
