There are three of us with 9/16 mailing dates, though not quite as good of stats, and only one of us have heard from any school. It really depends on the schools that you applied to.
 
Did anyone get accepted yesterday? I had 2 pre-dec interviews, but nothing yet.
 
I would assume that most of us have not had many, if any, interviews as of yet (our mailing date being as late as it is).

I would also assume that we're not going to be extended any more interviews until at least January, when adcoms return from holidays and deposit due dates approach for those who have just been accepted.

In conclusion, you should make yourself a nice warm cup of joe and find a good long novel to read by the fire b/c we're in for a long wait 😉
 
Though pure speculation, I agree with smthngintheway. It'll probably be January before we hear anything.... 😎
 
I think I've become a compulsive aadsas and email checker. Anyone else in that boat? Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting. On a side note, whoever coined that term, "good things come to those who wait" obviously never applied to dental school.

I used to be a compulsive aadsas/email checker. Especially in October. Lol. I'd get a new email indication and my first thought would be: "ZOMG!!@# ITS MY FAVORITZ DENTAL SCHOOL GIVING ME INVITE!!!!"

But yeah, I've tried to accept the fact that I won't be hearing anything for awhile (see above post). For my mental and physical sake, it just wasn't healthy having a near-heart attack every time I got a new advertisement from Bed, Bath and Beyond. +pissed+

haha i was the same way. well, still am a little bit. i'm trying to relax on it though, i've done all i can at this point all thats left to do is wait. i'm going to try to think my email notifications aren't coming from a dental school and then maybe they finally will be ? lol we shall see. good luck to everyone 🙂
 
Hey all you other late applicants, I just received my first interview invite!

School: UIC
AADSAS Mailing Date: 9/16
Interview Date: 1/10
Stats: AA/TS/PA 21/22/22, sGPA: 3.28, oGPA: 3.38

Keep your heads up and stop going on this site!

My mailing date was 9/23 because either my undergrad university shuffled my LORs or ADDSAS did, I got a call from Western saying that I didn't meet the requirements of admissions because of my letters and of course I did and thats when I found the problem. It took ADDSAS a week to straighten everything out. I got an interview invite to UNLV (11/7) and a rejection from UCSF but since then I havent heard anything. Its really freaking me out. Does anyone know about how long it takes for each of these schools to go through your application during the holiday season or late in the cycle?

11/11 Mailing date

I got a columbia invite on 11/29 according to AADSAS (e-mail was sent 12/1) for late Jan.
 
I'm still just waiting. No interviews, no rejections, all but 1 supplemental fee check cashed. I only applied to 4 schools...maybe that was a mistake, but I figured that this late in the game I didn't have that much cash to throw away.

It seems from reading other threads that the general consensus is that schools kind of hibernate throughout January as they wait for all of their Dec. 1 offers to put down a deposit or turn down acceptances until they start interviewing again. Has anyone else gotten the same impression or am I just imagining things?

some schools do send out invites in January. I know Temple did that last yr.
 
9/23 mailing date...North Carolina resident. Got a interview at UNC in January!
 
Just want to update this thread. Got my second interview at UCSF. My interview is on January 19, 2012. My first interview was at Columbia University on December 16, 2011. I think interview invites will start to pick up for our mailing group in January. Best of luck to all the 9/30 group.
 
January is just around the corner now, and I am starting to get a bit anxious. Do all schools have this week off and return to work on Jan 2nd or 3rd? Based on last year's threads, schools should be sending out more invites starting on the first week of Jan. (?)

I had a pre-Jan interview at UMD.
UoP status - Reviewed, No Decision. Re-review in Jan.
Called USC and was told to expect an interview soon.

The waiting game is on.

ASDOH rejection today on ADDSAS. I wasn't really expecting much from this school because I didn't meet the rumored 800 hours of volunteer work. Still hoping on an acceptance somewhere else!
 
My aadsas got sent 9/23 so a week sooner than this mailing date. Letting everyone know not to give up hope!

I've gotten 3 interview invites in january- temple, maryland, and tufts. Also 2 interview invites yesterday (Feb) - vcu and asdoh.

Even if we applied late, we still have a chance! good luck !
 
My application was mailed out in September but was not complete until I my second dat score made it to schools near the end of November. I only have one interview so far.

OHSU interview invite today. That makes 3/6 schools for interview with a 9/30 mailing date. Hope everyone is still getting interviews.
