Hi my MCAT and GPA fall in the average of lower-upper tier and upper-mid-tier schools like Stanford, Columbia, NYU, Dartmouth, Mayo Clinic, but I have a 9 in the BS section of the MCAT (BS on my session I found particularly difficult, and PS and VR particularly easy). Assuming that I have somewhat of a chance to be admitted to those schools, would these schools screen me out simply because of my BS of 9?

lol at "lower-upper tier" and "upper-mid-tier"

Try checking the MSAR and looking at what the lowest quartile of accepted applicants had on their BS portion. It should give you an idea if other people have been accepted before you with a 9 or lower in BS. This is incase no one on SDN knows if these schools have a minimum to pass their screen.

My MCAT total score falls in the range of those schools, but I'm just afraid that schools screen based on a minimum in each section, eg. double-digits.

I mean, no, but to a certain extent yes. lol. Basically, you wont get screened out a almost any schools for a 9 in one section, especially if you got 12/13/14 in the other sections, which it sounds like you did. All other things being equal, yeah, a 9 is sort of not ideal, but all other things are not equal: your overall app will be much more important than whether you got <10 in one section. If you had gotten a 6 or 7, then I'd say yeah, probs screened out some programs, but a 9, no.

I heard my 14 VR will get me a full scholarship to HMS.

How about 8 on BS? My overall app seems great to me, but I keep worrying about <10 in one section...
