A bit of a boneheaded move - do I email schools?

When I submitted my primary, I hadn't taken my MCAT yet, so I indicated that I had a future date. However, I never went back and changed that setting after getting my score. Now I've submitted most of my secondaries, but schools have seen that I intend to take a future MCAT when I don't. Drexel asked me to 'let them know'; does this mean I should email every school that I have updated it?

I have saved the option and resubmitted my primary with the update, by the way.

While you shouldn't have to remind every school of your new score, other applicants do it. This should not count as an update but should be considered due diligence on your part. Sometimes a human needs to be sure to take your application out of pre-screening purgatory/hold.

I greatly appreciate this - so I shouldn't feel bad about sending a general email to the admissions office? I am guessing I shouldn't cop to the mistake, just let them know that I changed the designation and my current score is my official score.

I don't consider it a mistake. Schools have application management programs that should pull new data with your MCAT down, but moving your file to "application complete" is not always done automatically (as a workflow process without humans). With writing secondaries, having to remember to revise that flag of a "future test date" is not at the forefront of most applicants' minds.
