Last tuesday 4/20/10, Women's Health researchers discovered that there is a strange but affordable new way to rid depression and anxiety without the use of costly medicines. By wearing a simple band or hat of aluminum foil around you head, and being out in the sun, something amazing happens.

Doctors and scientists have determined that the Sun produces a type of radiation that, when focused by the aluminum, causes the wearer to under go a euphoric release of endorphins in the brain, without pain or drugs.

"None of us expected this to be the result" says Dr. Anmus, a P.H.D. in neuropsychology and a test patient in the study. "We all laughed when the idea was proposed, but we cant argue with the facts: aluminum foil actually helps get rid of several types of problems. Of these are; depression, anxiety, mood swings, and has been proven to just generally make people happy".

According to the study, a whopping 78% of the testers felt much better after only 5 hours. 20% reported that they felt something, but were skeptical that any of it worked. The other 2% did not reply.

"I know it sounds silly," says Jordan Hernandez, one of the testers. "But i just cant argue with it, it does make you feel better".

Another participant who chose to remain Anonymous said " I've had depression and anxiety for years, and I've tried every pill in the book, but after a week of walking around outside with the band on, I feel better then I've felt in many years".

The doctors have said that women as young as 16 to as old as 89! have reported spectacular results.

All that needs to be done is to take a sheet of aluminum foil of any kind, should be folded into a 4 inch wide headband and fastened with some form of tape. Once secure, the person should then go out into the sun. Things such as walking, jogging, or even going to the store will have noticeable effect. However people with severe cases should be out for no shorter than one hour a day, for about 2 or so weeks. Remember to always wear a high SPF sunscreen when staying out for prolonged periods of time.

Doctors strongly urge people to partake in this, and to report their findings on blogs, forums, or any other medical or public site, to let others know about this radical new solution.

...Wow. this is the most amusing thing i've read in awhile. i'm not sure what the best part is-- the fact that none of the people named are even members of the Women's Health Research Institute; the random capitalization, or the bizarre explanation ("the Sun produces a type of radiation that, when focused by the aluminum, causes the wearer to under go a euphoric release of endorphins in the brain, without pain or drugs.").

Good times.

I was looking at the date to see if it was from April 1. To me, that would be the most plausible explanation...

As professionals, we would be in trouble if it was really as simple as this! I love how they said that going for a walk or jog while wearing the band is good too. No noticeable positive increase in the effect? I'm sure there would be since exercise releases the endorphins too...

See, we can find this to be humerous but you know that someone out there read this and is probably walking around with aluminum foil taped to their head ( I love the visual!) Next thing you know people will be suing alumminum foil companys for not putting a label on the box that wearing aluminum foil on your body may cause cancer!

Funny thing... I almost would rather suggest this to a client than refer them to a shrink.
