Sup guys. I have a couple questions I would like to have answered:

(1) If I don't have all of my LORs, should I go ahead and complete the secondary, send the ones I do have, and finish up after I get the missing letters?

(2) VCOM indicates it requires proof of the 6 additional hours of science. What do they need? I'm not really registered for the additional 6 hours of science. Do I need to send a transcript with this before I'll be interviewed or what? Also, what can I take?

yeah i'd like some advice on this too. i submitted a couple secondaries already and my LOR's are being forwarded from my undergrad, but my letter from a DO is being sent separately possibly a little later. i wonder if they'll just think i don't have a letter from a physician when they get my stuff.

I would resist the temptation to wait to sumbit your secondary as a complete package, rather than submiting the secondary ahead of LORs and prereq transcripts.

I say this because in some cases, the strength of the primary and secondary app without supporting LORs might be enough to pique interest early. And the earlier you submit, the earlier and smaller the pool of applicants you are being compared to and considered against.

Additionally, with every new document submitted to your file, it forces another view of your file - whether that be a secretary or admissions officer, your file floats up again and a pair of eyes look it over. It's essentially what people do closer to the end of the application process - updates and LOIs cause your file to be opened and reviewed with each new thing added.

I'd submit secondaries early and follow up as each new supporting document comes in.

Thanks for the input. 👍

Anyone know about the VCOM situation?

i cant really help with the VCOM quesiton cuz i didn't apply but my best guess JKMed is to call them on Monday? I was thinking maybe they wanted another copy of your transcript cuz I don't know what you mean by 6 additional hours of science.

About your question Public Enemy - the secondaries I'v ereceived, the majority of them ask directly what LORs they should be expected to received so if you list DO physician or MD physician with your other LORs, they'll know what to expect later. The only one secondary I haven't seen this is PCOM and their secondary is a page.
