I got a secondary from NSU and I am a bit worried about them asking me what MD and DO schools I have applied to. Why would they need to know that and is there anyway they could find out if I lie about it. The reason why I am asking that is because I feel a bit uncomfortable telling them all the schools I have applied to and that they may use it against me and not take me in 😡

This is a question that has been repeated in the NSU 2009-2010 thread tons of times. Just list everything. I must have listed 15 MD schools and about 5 DO schools and got accepted and they never even asked about it during the interview.

Everyone who applies to NSU fills that out, and a large majority of applicants will have applied to both MD and DO schools. Schools know that you arn't solely applying to their program. In fact, if you only applied to one school, they might wonder how committed you actually are to getting into medical school considering how competitive it is. It is completely illogical to be worrying about this.

UNE asks the same thing...for one, how could they know if youre lying? Do you really think they will check up on all their applicants? Also, why on earth would you lie? Who cares how many schools you have applied to. Just let them know that theirs is the one you want to go to.

I was truthful on my secondary with UNE, I never filled out mine from NOVA because I realized I wouldnt ever want to live in south FL, and I was never questioned about it in my interview and got accepted there.

I think you are reading into this way too much. I think there was a thread a while back discussing this same thing too.

during my application process, i had the opportunity to meet one on one with the dean of admissions at my state school for a friendly chat.

while reviewing my application packet, she took note that i had applied to 8 schools, both osteo and allo. she said this was a good thing to see because it underscores my serious intention to become a physician, wherever that might be.

cliff notes:

list all.
