Hey guys,

I just enrolled in Anatomy and physiology course much after I submitted my secondary application to the schools (I didn’t know that I was going to take the course back then). Do I need to let the schools know? Would it delay my application process? I am thinking that they may ask me to send it transcripts again. What do you guys think I should do?

And what if midway you decide to call it quits?

My thoughts exactly. It is required for bunch of schools (ASDOH and MWU), but not UW and I am hoping for get accepted into UW so I won't need it. I didn't want to take it last minute just in case other school accepted me. Do you think at this point committee would like to see me being proactive by taking classes that are not required, but recommended?

Wait for academic update period, if a school you get accepted and this school requires that course before matriculation, then you have Spring and Summer semesters to get that in.

Well just to to let you know... MWU and ASDOH require 3 units of physiology. So if you are taking a 4 credit class, 2 credits go toward anatomy and 2 credits go toward physiology. So when it is all said and done you need to take A+P 1 and 2 to fulfill the requirement.

So if perchance you don't get accepted to UW, you might want to stick it out, just in case you need to take the second, especially considering most often times you have to take them in sequence.

A&P is a great subject to have before attending dental school regardless of whether or not it's required by schools.

I was planning to take A&P 1 and 2, but I totally forgot about the academic update period. I think I will tough it out for the next two quarters. Thank you all your great advice. I love SDN.
