A question on CA state board.

I have heard several conflicting explanations on this topic so I would like an account of this from you SDN peoples.

lets say I end up going to a california dental school. Then I take and pass both sections of the national board exams. Is there an additional board exam I need to take to practice in california? Or I have heard something about a "portfolio" I may need to have documenting my clinical competencies.

Anyone have any insight on this?
