I recently took the INBDE and passed! I studied for about 3 weeks and used INBDE Booster as my only study resource.
Since I had a relatively short study period, I tried to keep my studying organized and focused. I mainly used Booster in this order:
Practice questions were another major part of my preparation. I went through the questions multiple times and constantly reviewed the explanations. I really liked Booster's interface because you can mark questions green, yellow, or red and then filter the question bank based on those markings. Anything I wasn't completely confident about was marked yellow or red, and I repeatedly went back through those questions and their explanations. I also liked being able to ask questions directly through Booster and get responses. If I still didn't understand something after reading an explanation, I could ask for clarification rather than just moving on.
I took the simulated exams a few days before my actual INBDE so I had enough time to review them afterward. About 2–3 days before my exam, I stopped studying intensely. At that point, I focused more on quick review rather than trying to learn a lot of new information. I mainly looked through the cheat sheets for my weaker areas, especially pharmacology, pathology, and prosthodontics. I think having the shorter cheat sheets was especially useful at this point because I could quickly refresh important concepts without overwhelming myself right before the exam.
On the actual exam, I felt that many questions were worded very similarly to questions I had seen while studying, and a lot of the concepts felt familiar because I had encountered them through Booster. Of course, there are always going to be things on the INBDE that you don't know or haven't seen before, but I felt prepared for a large portion of what I encountered.
Overall, Booster made the exam feel very doable for me. I liked having Anki, detailed notes, cheat sheets, videos, practice questions, explanations, and simulated exams all within the same resource. With only three weeks to prepare, having everything organized in one place was especially helpful. My biggest advice is to use the questions as a learning tool rather than just checking whether you got them right or wrong. Read the explanations, mark the questions you're unsure about, and keep coming back to them. Repetition was probably the most important part of my preparation. I definitely walked out of the exam remembering questions I knew I got wrong and feeling unsure about how I did, but finding out that I passed was such a relief! Overall, I was really happy with Booster and how prepared I felt after using it.
