A question on schools without full accreditation

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
*shrug* I'm just behind you in time, that's all mate. I got out of the Army (something you're far too cowardly to do, I'm sure) last year, so I had to realign myself and finish a couple last pre-requisites while you were enjoying the fruits of my labor busting those jihadist type people in the desert.

But that's OK, your entitled attitude fits right in amongst your countrymen. I'm accustomed to it.

BTW - It was a nice ad hominem attack after you had nothing substantive to leverage against me. You wanted to correct SHC's post, but when I corrected yours (because you're an idiot and simple English apparently eludes you) you simply ignored it and then decided to be like, "Zomg I'm in pharmacy school and you're not, lololololol." It's a tired charade.

Hey, can you tell me how "being in pharmacy school" would make my opinion any more valid than it already is about ANYTHING I say on this board? I do my homework. I work in two pharmacy settings and have daily contact with P3/P4s from every school in California just about, and I have spent the last year reading posts by pharmacy students and pharmacists on this board and elsewhere. I really don't think "being in pharmacy school" (What, exactly, does one magically learn in P1 about accreditation?) is germane to this topic at all, it's the only thing you could come up with though, which is pretty damn pathetic. I'm waiting though.

In conclusion, you lose, just like that other mouth-breather "BW1977" or whatever the hell his name was.

hmmm it seems like you're a racist? that's not good for the profession. Good for you, you were in the Army, do you want me to give you a cookie? Your boyfriend SHC says you got a degree from Stanford so that makes you smarter than me. I responded by saying I go to UCSF which means I should get a better education than him right? Nothing wrong with saying what I said.

Unless you're being sarcastic, SHC is a female.

Racist? Do you even know the definition of the word and what I was talking about? How's your ivory tower?

SHC is her own person. You'll notice I call all sorts of people out on everything, even her, so there's no special bond there. You decided to cast aspursions onto her character (zomg, she totally used the wrong "then vs. than"!!!!) but in the course of doing so, you made numberous errors. This demonstrates to me a few things:

a. You're an idiot.
b. You're not thorough. You didn't even spell-check or read through your post before you clicked "submit reply."
c. You post "whatever comes to mind" without actually thinking about it for a while. I guess this leads back to an overall inattention to being thorough.
d. You cannot think critically. Without even getting into throwing my undergraduate education into the mix I am going to go ahead and take apart what you said in the last page, since I'm wholly bored and hoping Monday comes soon.

Passion4sci, until you actually get accepted to pharmacy school, then you can run your mouth. Right now, you're just a pre pharmacy nobody trying to make himself feel better by putting everyone else down.
"Until... then..." You didn't do so well in English in high school, nay, grade school, did you pal?

The sentence, "until you do X, then you can do Y" makes no sense. Completely and utterly senseless. This is a poor attempt at even post hoc, ergo propter hoc. (You might need to look that up, I'll wait, it's OK). You're looking for, "After you do X, then you can do Y." For example, since you're slow at this: "After you're in pharmacy school, you can run your mouth." Or, alternately, "Until you're in pharmacy school and not just applying, shut your mouth." See how it works? Good, maybe you could pass 6th grade didactic now.

Did I understand your meaning? Of course! But hey, you criticized SHC about "then vs. than" and somehow correlated that with bring discredit upon the profession, so why isn't the same true for you, Bucko? Do you need a reminder of how stupid you are? No problem, it's right here! I'm like Make-a-Wish foundation!

Confettiflyer, this person doesn't know when to use "than" or "then" so that's another reason why we don't get respected.
What does this mean for you? Well, I guess it means you are part of the problem also. I guess you should just go kill yourself. You seem to think yourself an expert on the pharmacy profession, yet you yourself are, at best, a P1. Hmmm... Let's do a quick recap!

a. You declare SHC's confusion about then vs. than as being disrespectful to pharmacy, or in other words, "another reason why we don't get respected[sic]".
b. You, yourself, make similar, if not more egregious mistakes and fail to see how, indeed, you yourself, brings about some esoteric lack of respect for our profession.
c. You assert that I'm a racist through a carefully nested ethnic slur. "Towelhead" is absolutely not racist. You labeling me as racist demonstrates a lack of cogent thought process and the willingness to use words you don't understand. Thus I can now conclude you cannot read nor write... Guess that's bad for the profession, huh? You tell me!
d. You couldn't see the reference to the Army and its importance to the argument at hand. You claim that you're superior due to already being in pharmacy school, while I'm just applying. However, your argument falls because the nested assumption is that I failed to gain acceptance at some prior time and you succeeded, therefore elevating you in status above me. However, this is not the case, as I was just finishing my tour of duty when you were probably submitting your applications. Thus, your "argument" is swiss cheese.

I mean, seriously. You're sitting there and obviously not even contributing to this board. Your sole purpose, insofar as I can tell thus far, is to cause trouble with me and other regular posters, contradicting what we say with harebrained rebuttals and anecdotal bullcrap.

As far as what SHC said about me being "smarter" than you... "Smart" is a whole ball of wax that probably didn't belong in this thread to begin with. A five-letter word that we can argue about until the cows come home with absolutely zero empirical progress either way. I don't usually involve myself in words like that. You'll never catch me writing about how I went to Stanford so somehow I'm better than everyone else. Ever. So I'm not entirely sure why you can't keep the argument at hand between me and you. Oh wait, I know how - Because you can't keep two thoughts straight at any one time.

The fact that you think a Pharm.D from UCSF is somehow comparable to a Baccalaureate from Stanford is so devoid of logic, I don't even know where to start. Besides,

I should get a better education than him right? Nothing wrong with saying what I said.
is actually not what you said.

Need a reminder again? Okay...

you said,

Wow good for him, but I'm the one in pharmacy school and not him! So I'm going to have a degree from UCSF, that means I'm going to be a better pharmacist than you right??
You never even mentioned getting a better education than I have gotten. Not once. I've been through this thread a dozen times now and I simply cannot find this mythical statement to which you reference. Is your memory that short, your intellect that shallow, you can't even remember what you yourself wrote? Hm, must be bad for the profession...

You DID say, however, that because you're "going to have a degree from UCSF" (interesting word choices there), "that means I'm going to be a better pharmacist than you [shc1984] right??"

Oh my, the errors here. I think I've finished with you, though. You're an opponent that cannot match me for rationality or logic, that is clear. Your train of thought is terrible, derailed even, and I'm not entirely sure that you even know what you're trying to assert. It is then my logical conclusion, based on all of this, that you're here just trying to stir $h!t up and, in other words, trolling.

Nothing wrong with saying what I said.
There's nothing wrong with that... But that's not what you said. LOL.

You must be UCSF's one 2.9 GPA acceptance this year. I realize I probably just blew your mind with this reply, so feel free to take a few years to answer, okay? You'll be doing all of us a favor.

I got into Penn and Columbia and attended Columbia. Passion graduate from Stanford. You are the only ******* here. Not only that but a very stupid hypocrite as well. Good luck defending yourself you piece of ****.

I do know what you are talking about, our close family friends are Middle Eastern and Muslim so I did get offended. You have not right to generalize (assuming you are). You guys were sent to that country for no damn reason now it appears. Many innocent civilians died and so did U.S. soldiers for no reason. But this is a political issue for another forum, I do not want to get into it...

you actually had time to write all that? I'm impressed that you have that much time on your hands. Let's say I am UCSF's 2.9 student (which I am not 110%) booooo hooooooo I was accepted right????? You guys are taking this more than it should be, I don't even care what you say. You can say whatever you want and I know you don't care what I say so the feeling is mutual 🙂. By the way, please don't get mad at me, but I'm coming to California to get a real bad-***** education and going to wherever the hell I came from, which would be New York. Anyways, I got a lot of laughs out of this, I'm looking forward to your response.

Oh yeah, I'm sorry I got SHC's gender confused, that was stupid of me as SHC said lol

damn it, i wrote that reply, left to go watch harry potter, came back and refreshed the page hoping someone quoted me...

...and what do i get? i get a clusterf*ck of a threadjack, this sucks.

If you're shooting at me, or trying to shred me or my buddies with nails, glass and ball bearings, I don't care what you're wearing.

While I was in theater, towelhead was pretty common, even for folks who don't wear the local garb. I apparently have some adapting yet to do to wimpy ass civilians with porcelain feelings (ugh, the dregs of political correctness) so I'll edit my post to be... more PC. To make it even more exciting, my mother is Iranian, and she came to America in 1979 when the Shah fell. I'm not offended at my own statement, so I don't see how you are, unless you're yet another ivory tower product of this society that puts blinders on to everything in the real world you hold so dear.

I'm glad to see that you're really reading for comprehension there, since the only thing you've got to contribute to this thread is telling me how I hurt your delicate feelings. Grow up with a silver spoon in your mouth, too?

You were in their country right??? How would you feel if someone else invaded our country? Would you just watch or would you try to do something about it?? Like I said, many people died for no reason and this is not the place to talk about it......

sooooo what new drug will the Pharmaceutical industry think of next??

OK, we'll stick to pharmacy.

you actually had time to write all that? I'm impressed that you have that much time on your hands.
Yeah, dude, 6 minutes is a really long time. Are you five years old? I suppose in your pathetic mind, a reply like that WOULD take a really long time to formulate.

let's say I am UCSF's 2.9 student (which I am not 110%) booooo hooooooo I was accepted right?????
What's with the "booo hoooo" thing? I don't get it. Again, another sentence that makes absolutely zero sense.

Anyways, I got a lot of laughs out of this, I'm looking forward to your response.
Well, here it is in all its splendor. I'm sorry to report it only took 57 seconds to type. I guess I could sit here and pick my nose for a while, like I imagine you do, trying to think of a reply to the absolutely huge mudhole you just got stomped in your "arguments" earlier.

Seriously man, you didn't address a single issue. This leads me to confirm the fact that you are, indeed a troll.

Sorry your cool thread got hijacked Confetti.

He does have a point you know. You seemed to imply that Passion is somehow smarter because he graduated from Stanford. Personally, I think that is a ridiculous argument but if you are going to equate intelligence with where you attend school, then it would follow that anyone who gets into UCSF must be pretty damn smart and not at all a *******.

That might very well be the ONLY point he actually made without falling all over himself with egregious errors.

BTW, I answered your question on the last page. Check it out.

No, no, no. This is a case of Patrick's Law (that's my husband). The law states that if you play Grammar/Spelling Nazi, it is inevitable that you will make an error in that same post. It's the law. I've seen it so many times that it doesn't even phase me. In fact, when Patrick chooses to correct somebody, he invariably makes a mistake and he is a professional editor. It is quite funny actually.

LOL, that is pretty humorous, but altogether foolhardy, you know this.

He is not just correcting her grammar here, he is claiming that her grammar is part of the reason pharmacy is not well respected. In the same breath he makes tons of errors. And continues to make errors.

He is a cretin.

You're applying to UCSF for Fall 2010 right?

Nope. I only planned to apply to three year schools to try to beat the clock on my husband's rapidly disappearing industry. Our luck didn't hold on that but I do start USN in a few weeks so at least I'm not waiting around for another year.

Oh, well congratulations on USN! On the weekends you can hit the slots with your extra financial aid!

On a more serious note, the reason I ask is, despite our spats, I would have enjoyed the possibility of having you at UCSF next year (assuming I make it through the interview unscathed of course). It'd be nice for someone to know I'm not a complete ******* (As so many people believe me to be).

Drats. Oh well!

I'm sure you will make it through just fine. Just project that confidence that those UCSF people seem to have and they will think you are a good fit. Or you can make grammatical errors after correcting your interviewers on their grammar. I heard that it is the hot new thing for the students there.

It's so much more cumbersome in spoken word, though !

He is a ******* hypocrite b/c he is here defending people from pre-cand schools and then later on call me and passion stupid. How is that not only stupid but make him look like the dumbest hypocrite?

So I basically pointed out. Since according to you Pre-Can students are so wonderful. Then people that attended Columbia and Stanford must be smarter than his *******. Thats all I was saying.

If he is at all smart or at least average, he should learn a lesson and watch what he calls people the next time he opens his mouth.

These forums are so immature lately...

Columbia and Stanford have nothing to do with pharmacy. I am talking about being in actual pharmacy school, not undergrad. Besides, who cares if someone is in a Pre-candidate school, they are still in pharmacy school. This all started by you saying that if you can't get into a fully accredited institution, you might as well not apply. I told you that's a wrong thing to say and everything went south from there lol. Anyways whatever..
